I didn't hear from my SR any word on her A school orders. She'll be going to corpsman training. Her recruiter told her she'd go to GL (even though a few weeks before she left, he told her it might be…Continue

Hi all, I thought I'd start a discussion for those of us with SRs who will be heading to Charleston, SC together for the NUKE program so we can stay together through that as well!

G'sMom: Your story is an example of what we say on here. The RDCs want these SRs to succeed....I have heard numerous stories of their running with them to motivate them to get their time. The RDCs don't have an easy job to do, and they do it well! :-) So proud of your girl!
Your story of the bikers escorting your husband's cousin's son's body was so wonderful. God bless them! And, I so agree...what a shame that people protest something as sad as a fallen member of our troops returning to his country...
CorpsmansUKGirl: No, you only need the gate pass to get on base in a car. But if you can print it out, I would bring it anyway.
Passport should be good.
Question .. Do you still need to print off the gatepass if your NOT driving in? If not is is your ID all you need? Plus will my uk passport be enough thats all i have.
Sorry for sounding so thick!
okay one last thing...My daughter said she cant wait to be just like her RDC. aint that a kick. and that she missed her PFA by 10 sec. that last time and at FIT they did run with her and helped her keep going and she passed this last time with 30 sec to spare... THANK YOU (whoever you were).
MJ - my cars clean now and hopefully we should be at hotel by 2 or 3 so we should have plenty of time to get to the meet and greet.
and on a somber note I just wanted to say that yesterday morning my husbands cousins son's body was escorted home by his military roommate.
and here is something I couldnt believe there was a group that showed up at her house on saturday while we were there , ex- military bikers called the patriot guardiens to tell them that they would be there following the body from the airport to the funeral home to help guard against any problems from protestors. now mind u I cant imagine anyone protesting such a thing but I guess it really happens. luckly there were none there monday. i guess they were smart enough to know that they might get away with something so stupid in maybe cleveland but out here in the sticks you'd be shot before you got your sign all the way up. but i just want to put out a public thanks to these people for all they do. and its a shame they have to do it.
Reign- That's funny. I could see my SR totally doing that. After months of writing every single day-running to the post office before they close to be sure they're evenly placed, spending much time copying funny and uplifting diddies to send. Yepper, we know where we stand..... (lol
I'll keep an eye out for him- and give him a lecture- when I see him (wink)
