Trust in your recruits and trust in God - they will be just fine during their BS-21 exercise. This is what they have been training for since they arrived and most actually look forward to it! It's us moms and wives and girlfriends who are the nervous ones!!! Of course I can say this now because my son is already at A-School, so I must tell you that I was a basket case when he was going through that exercise - I wish someone would of told me to just relax and go to sleep. Oh wait, someone did and I didn't listen!!!! LOL My prayers are with all your recruits tonight.

Congratulations to those who have already gotten your Sailor calls. If you have access, watch their bank accounts - you may see little charges at the NEX. A lot of RDC's will give their division some free time after BS-21 is over to go to Ricky Heaven. They buy junk food, use the phone banks to call home and jump online to update their facebook and myspace pages!!!! If you see a $45 charge (doesn't say NEX, but you'll know its at the base) it's for their division shirt. They design it themselves (as a group) and order one if they choose to. My son chose a sweatshirt and it turned out awesome. Guess they had a guy who could really draw well in their division and even his RDC's thought it was the best design they had seen in a long time!

Good luck to all the DIV doing BS tonight, they are all in my prayers, and in a few short hours you will all have your I'm a sailor call! Mine came in at 1:52 pm today. I answered it on the first ring and he said 'Mom how long have you been sitting by the phone waiting for this call" I replied for 8 weeks. See you all Friday!

We spent the day on the lake with another couple. I had my cell phone with us waiting for his call. We were all in the water when my phone rang and it was a mad scramble to try to get back in the boat. We ended up not getting to the phone before it quit ringing. :-(. But he called back again. At first he told me that he wouldn't be graduating for 2 more weeks and I asked if he was joking and he said yes, that he was a sailor. We talked for almost an hour.

Good luck to everyone doing BS21 tonight and can't wait for PIR.
