Travel safely and have an absolutely wonderful time. We will all be thinking about your and your Sailors and we can't wait to hear about your weekend :-) It has been great getting to know you all.
Safe travel for all leaving today for PIR. I would suggest that all put Sarge's number in your phone for the weekend. He is a wealth of knowledge and would be happy to answer any questions you have: He will give you lots of info at his MeetNGreet too on Thurs night.

Good morning ladies. Ok, so will just 223/224 call this afternoon, or will they be joined by 225/226? Time will tell. For those who get the first calls, please ask your new sailors how many divisions went through last night and post that. They should know. Hoping that all completed BattleStations last night!
Hmmm....good question, Julie. I'm thinking that any veterans are welcome at these PIRs but why not call the Public Affairs Office and ask them about that? 847-688-2405 Please post when you get the answer. Thanks!
GOOD MORNING ALL! Very restless night of sleep. However the little anchor candles that I turned on last night (yes, I'm a dork!) are still brightly lit, I thought the batteries in them would go out during the night, but they didn't, good sign right! lots to do today, but most important is to wait for "THE CALL!" Why am I so nervous!
Connie, Yay !!!!! Congratulations on your Sailor!!!!!!!!!!
Question and again forgive my ignorance cause my SR is my 1st military experience. When they say RETIRED MILITARY won't count towards your count, what exactly constitutes 'retired'. My father-in-laws and brother-in-law are all former Navy. They did their required 4-6 years of service and were done. They did not make it a career. Does thier time constitute them as 'retired'? and all they need is there miliatry ID that they use for their local commissary.
So, looks like just 936 went last night. Congrats to all of those new sailors!
Blue candles burning for the last 4 divisions to go through!
Congrats Bonnie! How exciting! Navyknit22 - I agree they are torturing us! Not sure that I am going to be able to sleep tonight thinking about them!
