The RTC Website says"only small photgraphs" and the Family Guide says "they can recieve anything that fits into a standard sized envelope". So 3X5's? Other vet moms what do you say? :-)
You can also photocopy pictures onto the back of letters as they do not have a lot of storage space.
Always bear in mind that any photos may be reviewed by the RDC's for content purposes. Any "bulky" mail may be asked to be opened in front of an RDC...again for content.
That being said...they do love getting those pictures!
Good morning all!
Hello Everyone.
Safety for your SR (future Sailor) and you!
Sailors LAST names are not allowed anywhere on this site. If your last name is different from your sailors it is still not recommended. This site is publicly viewable.
FIRST names are allowed but I, and some of the other “veteran” moms, will most often advise you not to use them. So, let’s say you use your last name in your N4M name, post a picture of your SR...call him/her by their first name...it makes it very easy to match them up with you while in Boot Camp.
SR=Seaman Recruit...this is a good way to refer to your loved one while they are in BC.
Why does that matter? Your SR's are trying to get through BC with as little undue attention as possible. "Fly under the radar", so to speak. So...Less is best!
The MOST important reason for being discreet is OPSEC-OPerational SECurity. This is a way of life for us now. It will be for your Sailors career and for some of them, even more so, depending on their individual security clearance.

Thank You.
Okay Folks...I have added all of your Discussions to get you started on some info.
diannep has also listed her Battlestations Discussion.
You may start adding your Division Discussions...but REMEMBER to please stay on the main wall here too!
Here is how to add a Discussion:
How to add a Discussion - Go to the bottom left corner of the Discussion Forum area (It's actually just above the comment box here.) and click "Add a Discussion".
Fill in the Title and any description you like.
For DIV discussion Titles a suggestion would be:
SHIP ##/ DIV ###
Simple as that! Then the other members from your div can reply and you can connect up even closer there.
Please, only one discussion per Division, Thanks!
Remember that you are ALL part of this TG though and to stay on the main pages to talk here too! Plus, we veteran moms mostly stay on the main pages of the groups. There are 7-8 PIR groups running at one time and so we do not get to the DF's as much. We do check them as often as we can...OPSEC rules apply there also.
My daughter arrived at BC may 22 and I haven't gotten her form letter yet. Does anyone know when Ship 4 div 223 pir is?
You know how excited I am for you guys to have PIR. I wish i could go with you lol. I can still hear that man in my head calling out the divisions at PIR 222, 223,224..... 936. omg is was AWESOME. We had 13 divisions and I bet you guys will have close to that. I am thinking it will be 12. We shall see if I am right :-)
