Patrat don't leave yet lol, they were shipped today and you should have them by Friday :-)
Thanks Dianne, Last week I drove 3 hours round trip to deliver ribbons in person to make sure someone got theirs when their original order was forwarded to their new address :-)
NicksWifey: Messaged you back. "Tweaked" your BattleStations date just a bit!
Patrat: Lala has never missed getting the ribbons there. She has even sent to the PIR hotels for last-minute orders! So don't worry!
Looks Like I will go to Sarge's as well, as I would love to meet all of you Great Moms/Wifes! We are staying at the Comfort Inn which is only 1.5 miles away from Sarge's Meet & Greet so thats perfect. I still can't believe that it's only 9 DAYS AWAY! I think all I'm waiting for now are my ribbons, and I will be ready to go! Hint Hint Lala - Hopefully they are on their way :) Although I think my husband is secretly wishing that I would just go now and he would meet me there! lol!
I called Sarge last weekend with some Navy questions, he was so helpful! I can't wait to meet him in person!
Us too - Sarge's here we come!
We are going to Sarge's as well.
We will be at Sarge's Meet and Greet..
Patrat - we are hoping to go to Sarge's...staying at Ramada but heard Sarge's more popular. How about you?
Here is the link for those who need to print their gate pass for PIR. Be sure to have the password from your form letter and type it in ALL CAPS. You can print as many passes as you need (meaning, in case you lose one!)!
http://bootcamp.navy.mil/upcoming_grads.asp
The RTC gate pass is needed if you are driving to PIR, but not if taking the shuttle. However, when you return your sailor that night to base, you will need this pass if you want to drive him/her onto the base rather than letting off at the front gate. So I advise all to print it out and keep it with you. You write in the info.
Okay...my bad...I didn't mean behind the bleachers as there isn't a behind!
In the above pic...it is taken from the side where the Sailors enter from the Big Garage door...this is just past where you have entered Midway Ceremonial Drill Hall. When seated the Garage doors are on your left. You an see alllll the way down to the other end of the drill deck. About mid way (ha, ha...made a "funny") down there is a Box seating area for the distinguished guests and CO's. Just before that is the area leading to the bathrooms. The womans is to the right and down a long set of stairs.
I'll be reposting that pic with some others in another post about seating soon!
**Note...this is one area where family may run into Performing Division Sailors. If you do...let them make the first move...if any...they could get into trouble, they are working...so all you might get is eye contact...just a forewarning so if it happens you know adn can keep your emotions "in check". They're not "dissing" you. :-)
