I'm so thankful to finally get another letter today! It was written the night of July 3rd. He said they have had their 2nd round of shots. And he ordered his picture package that day. Said it"was expensive as hell so I hope you can find people who want pics."!!! Oh that silly kid! He said they have all their dress uniforms and a National Defense ribbon and Medal. He was only 6 points away from Expert in shooting! I imagine that frustrates him cause he LOVES guns! Apparently I haven't received a letter that he had written before this one. Very frustrating!!! My favorite part - he signed it "With love & Appreciation" Wow, that's pretty cool for this Mom to hear from her boy!! I hope and pray that you are all doing well. We are so close to seeing our loved ones!!! These days can NOT go fast enough. Love to you all!!!
Oh, here is a link to a news story my hubby found about Battlestations 21.
Thanks so much, you know she has been in for two years and I have still never seen her in her dress blue uniform :-( well except in the bootcamp pics.
txbabydocmom: If by chance he didn't order the pictures, you can do that in the NEX after PIR. With all of the military in your family, you will have a great looking wall with all of those uniform piks! :-)
dbarton: Someone had told me that the Ramada has its own shuttle. I would call the hotel directly and ask about it. Also, this may be old info, but someone also had said the shuttle didn't leave until 7:30. That is really late to be leaving. But I would call the front desk and ask about it.
Patrat: You might want to call your hotel too and see what time they book the PIR shuttles for. I believe Comfort Inn uses them. We stayed at Residence and were on the 6:30 one. It was perfect for us.
dbarton - I'm trying to decide the same thing. We are staying at the Comfort Inn. No your not being anal. My husband said at dinner tonight that he thinks I should stay in the room with my daughter and his mom because he wants some sleep the night before PIR and for some reason he thinks that I am not going to be sleeping. Now why would he think that? LOL! Also my son said that the took pictures, but weren't given the opportunity to order? Any seasoned Moms have an answer on the photos? Just want to make sure that we get them.
Beautiful Kids LaLa!!
lala - Nice looking children. Your daughter looks so nice in her uniform. I can't wait to see my son in his!!! Meegan - Hope you enjoyed your get away and hopefully you were able to relax a little. The comments about a whole new language are so true! I found myself saying "what's that" alot while I was talking to my son on Saturday, but that's ok it was so great just to hear his voice!
Thanks Diannep, they are great on the inside too. We are very blessed :-)
Still collecting BattleStations dates for this group, so if you received one over the weekend from your SR, please friend request/private message it to me. Remember, we cannot post dates on this site nor on FB!
