Julie, no offense taken at all. I know all to well about hackers because I have had my identity stolen not just once but twice although it wasn't through my website at all. I spoke with the person who helped me with my website and with experts at GoDaddy and they both assured me it was safe since all payment were going through PayPal. I still plan to get the https just because it makes customers happy and makes them feel safer :-) Since I am such a small one person business I am pretty much open 24/7 lol and go out of my way to make sure everyone gets their ribbons in time. A few days ago I drove 3 hours round trip to deliver new ribbons in person when some were lost in the mail because the customer had moved. I don't know any other business that would do that lol. but I love all my Navy Family and I do what ever I can to help them :-) And, yes you can order today and I can get the ribbons to you before you leave for PIR. My turnaround is very fast when it needs to be :-)

txbabydoc- that is crazy. I don't know how you have kept up will all of that. It must have cost them a huge fortune in just letterhead and envelopes lol.

dbarton - too funny.  What was a foreign language 6 weeks ago is now our second language.  Navy speak 101 prerequisite for the future deployments, eh?

Comment by J-RockyMtn on July 8, 2012 at 5:18pm

LaLa - Thank you for the info and please don't take offense.  I work for a large world wide company and they are EXTREMELY watch-doggie and we have tons of encryption on emails and many websites have to be approved for view, so you become paranoid.  It's amazing how many hackers are out there stealing info.

After I started going thru the purchase process and then saw where we can call you and give info over the phone. I stopped because i figured you weren't open until Monday.  So ... what's the turnaround time in getting the ribbons?  If i order today will i get them by next Monday?

Let's see how much acronyms we can do: My SR will PIR 7/20 then A school in GL as GM!

sorry for the weird spacing, not sure why it did that lol.

Comment by Lala Ribbon Queen PIR Ribbons on July 8, 2012 at 5:10pm

Julie if I remember correctly they have chairs that they sit on the floor right in front of where each divisions family sits that are for handicapped people. They also have Sailors who will help with wheel chairs for those who can not walk to the PIR hall. They definitely take good care of everyone :-)

Also Julie- I am so sorry you didn't feel like my site is safe. It is quite a bit more expensive to have the https versus http. No credit cards are stored on my web site and all payments made with credit or debit cards are actually made through PayPal. Those who prefer to not pay with credit or debit cards or PayPal can click on "print and call" as the payment option and then give me a call (It will give them my cell number and they don't really have to print the invoice). When they call I will give them my address and they can pay with check or money order. I have had this site open for several months now with no problems at all and I believe it very safe. I will look further into getting the https site :-) Let me know if you have any questions at all.

Navyknitt and dbarton you guys rock. Thanks so much ladies for all your wonderful comments. I do appreciate all of you so much. Navyknitt, I hope today was a much better days for you. Hang in there, and please let me know if you need anything at all. I am here for you. I really enjoyed meeting you dbarton and I am so glad you came to my party. Navyknitt I am planning on meeting you as well, very soon :-)

Julie, the meet and greets are all kid friendly, so bring the kids, there are no issues at all bringing them along.
