Paige:   I had noticed in your post here that you were giving suggestions for PIR (i.e., bring ID for airport gate pass) so that is why I suggested you post this info on the next PIR group going through.  Thanks for doing that!  Hoping that you stick around to help on N4Moms PIR groups!  :-)

Good morning all!

Thank you FireTeam,  I would love to stay and help anyone who needs it.  I  would of been so lost without all of you Veteran Mom's.  Thank you so much for all the great information and support you give here on N4M.

Paige - Loved your story...it choked me up...wonderful family.

Paige...no, it's good that you posted it here too! You should all continue to share here as it is your PIR group...your beginnings!

But if some of you feel lead to, please share with other PIR groups. Even if it is just the one post. We veteran moms all had PIR a while ago and our goal is to keep as up to date as possible...things change.

You don't have to stay on and "be" a veteran(though we would certainly welcome it! This site is made up of volunteers. ), but just passing off some stuff...letting us know if there was anything we got wrong or other info...we would love to hear!

also when you go to the airport.. Make sure you have your ID..   my son's gf forgot hers.. she could not get a pass to see him off..

When we Arrived  to the base, the line was very long (6:45 am),  I got out of line and went through the light found first place I could turn around and came back down to the light made a left into the base.  I got right in. Lala Thank you for the tip on quickest way to get in.    It was so nice to see my Son when they Open the door.  The band was great!!   If your Sailor's div is in the middle or close to the middle .. you will have the best seats..  You will be able to watch the band.

After Graduation We took our son out to eat. He wanted real coffee!!!   He didn't want to go anywhere else but back to the room and swim with his 2 year old  nephew.  It was so nice just to sit there and watch him interact with his siblings and my grandson.

He had to be at the airport around 12:30 am.  He told us to get some sleep and come around 5am   his departure time was 6:45am  We got there around 4:30 am.  The lines were very long i was so afraid of not getting our pass to go with him.. My youngest son asked for help to get us through faster . United was great.  They got us through every line very fast.  So my advice would be go  about an hour after your sailor has to be there.

My sailor  getting on the plane was very hard!!  I lost it.  Im not a big boohoo kind of person but I couldn't keep it together. Thank god my youngest son was there with me to hold me and tell me Jamie will be ok.  This has been a emotional ride!!!

My son is now in Mississippi and we are home.. But the good thing is we can skype and talk on the phone now!!

ONE VERY PROUD MOMMA HERE!!!

Good luck next week girls You will love it!!  if you have any questions give me a yell..
