I got a letter too dated 6/26. Hubby doesn't say much, but he said that they just did weapons training and he was excited about that. He also said they got their dress uniforms and will be taking photos. His letters are really brief. In every letter he writes, he thanks me for writing him and he looks forward to getting my letters every week day (I literally write him every day) We have 2 little ones also, so I know exactly what you're going through. Are you going to PIR? Where is his A-School?
Here is a post that I wrote on Thursday after receiving a letter from my SR that day, the 28th of June. Comment by JanellShip07Div221on Thursday Delete Comment
NicksWife - I LOVE that you shared that cadence with us. I LOVE those! Anyway, I got a letter today! First one in two weeks. Now I'm all weepy again! He returned my questionaire that I had sent him - wow, is that a great way to get info!!! I can't remember where I read information about how long their liberty is likely to be if they are staying at Great Lakes for A school. Can anyone help me find that again? Meegan - this is my sentence to share with you that was in my letter today... "I do greatly appreciate the letters! I find them very refreshing and encouraging!" Me again - Hang in there sweetie, PIR will be here before we know it!!! My son also wrote, "It's all really getting into one big blur and when I look at the calendar it kinda shocks me to see what we have left is smaller than what we've done." That is true, thank God, that is TRUE!!!
Does anyone have any news on Div 221/222? I haven't heard from my hubby since a letter dated 16 June. They are coming further apart every week, I was expecting one today, but didn't get one. Plus the baby has been having sleeping issues, so consequently I haven't been sleeping much and to top it all off, I came home today and the puppy pooped in the house. I've had a rough day, some good news would be great, if anyone cares to share.
Thank you!!
I got this pic from a friend on facebook and I just had to share. It is so cool :-)
They don't start BattleStations on a Friday, but they can finish on a Friday, starting Thurs night. But remember...we can't post actual dates on this site. We can only private message them.
However, I think that NicksWife is right on the day count. 221/222 will be first to go through BattleStations, and it is possible that 223/224 will go with them--although this is a small PIR group so they may not go until the next week. Be asking your SRs if you get a call when they are doing BattleStations. Please let me know the date if you get one so I can update the schedule.
They'll "push" and put the beginning Divisions through the Wed or Thurs a week before PIR OR wait and not start until Sunday. Up to four Divisions may go through BS21 at one time so with 7 Divisions they have some leeway! I am sure that diannep will have more accurate info though!
I may be wrong but if my son graduates on 7/20 does that mean they would have to be entering week 6? Just checking, I am having a hell of a time today getting my brain together, Maybe it is b/c I had to come into work and it is Saturday.
Ok, Thanks. My son is in div 223 and I am just trying to figure out where they are in training and what they are doing. It helps me to know. Plus, I am writing a letter as we speak and would like to send some encouraging words and include maybe a little detail.
