This is my Sailor standing in the flooded street in front of our vacation house this afternoon. The weather here is crazy, lots of flooding, tornadoes, wind, power outages and expecting 12 more inches of rain. We are hoping no one is injured and the storms head back out to sea soon.

You are one very strong woman Meegan, just know you, Corey and your family and of course Shane's family all continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.

Continued prayers for you Meegan and your son

Wow, Meegan. What a day.  So glad that so much love surrounded you and his family at the service.

I was able to find the article you referred to that described him.  Sounds like a wonderful guy.  How sad that he and his friends were just walking when hit...hopefully the gifts he left in his life here will always be remembered by those who came in touch with him.

Good Moring everyone. Here is an update on the funeral yesterday. Well, It was tough, I was ok until the slideshow. This is when I totally lost my freakin mind. Once they hit a picture of my son and Shane it was over for me. It was totally overwhelming b/c I realized that this whole time I had been stressing about telling Corey and never took a second to greive myslelf so it all hit me then. My best friend was by my side the whole time. We laughed, we cried, and of course prayed A LOT. Yesterday was also Shanes birthday, he would have been 19 years old. It was hard but we sang him happy birthday b/c we know he was watching. I have to share something else, here is an example of the AMAZING group of young people Corey left to go do what he needed to do. One of the kids Kaylee (dear friend of Corey and Shane's) recorded the whole thing so I could take it with me. I was doing that also but it is just wonderful how many people thought about Corey and how it was going to affect him. Last night I was in contact with the family and they had the whole thing taped and I am taking that so IF he needs that for closure it is open for him. Oh boy, The love I felt in that room I could never put into words. There was a huge writeup in our local paper about all the love that this boy brought into our lives and I really wish I could share the whole thing. It is time for me to go visit his grave site today so I can also attempt to put this behind me until after PIR. Life has handed me some whammy's lately but I am getting stronger every day. I can't wait to meet all of you at PIR. You have been my life raft these last 4 1/2 weeks.

txbabydocmom:  Both MSmom and I had the same situation when our sailors were asmoed during bootcamp.  By giving the original division number/password, we had no problem getting the new password.

Comment by MSmom on June 24, 2012 at 8:55am
Txbabydocmom. Call the public affairs at 847-688-2405. Tell them the situation. They will ask for the old password and then they will give you the new one.
