Does anyone know what week/day Ship 07 Div 221 is on right now. By my figuring I come up with Week 4 and today would have been day 2? Lala, I have GOT to get my ribbons ordered. Think I'll head to your website right now!!!
I know, that is what i was thinking :-)
Lala, that does seem like an appropriate thing for us to do, lol.
Thanks for the clarification on where 223/224 are in the training week/day count, dbarton. Now I know when they do BattleStations! :-)
Thinking that 221/222 are probably on 3-3 today?
I will not forget Betsy, I still think we should plan a cruise together. Can you imagine a cruise ship filled with all Navy for Mom members. Now that would be a blast :-)
Lala, don't forget, one day us "veterans" are going to have a reunion. :)
No worries navyknitt, we are close enough to meet here in NC very soon :-)
Thanks again navyKnitt, I always take ribbon supplies with me on vacation and keep on working lol and you are pretty awesome yourself :-) Thanks to you as well Dianne, I am sure we will get to meet soon.
If anyone in this group lives within driving distance to New Port Richey FL (surrounding areas include Holiday, St Petersburg, Clearwater etc I will be there on vacation and I am going to have a get-together for all of my navy Mom friends who would like to join us on Wednesday afternoon/evening. I will have goodies/food and we can all sit around (or in if you prefer) the pool and just have a fun time getting to know each other and talking about our recruits and Sailors. If anyone is in that area and would like to join us please send me an email and let me know. My hubby will be away on a fishing trip and we were gonna do it Monday because he wants to be there but that is our 1st wedding anniversary <3 So, I would love to have you join me and others and you will get to meet my Sailor as well :-) The date is Wednesday June 27th. If you would like to meet but that afternoon or evening isn't good for you let me know and we will set up a another time while I am there :-) I am so excited to meet some of my navy Mom friends!!! My email is uniquememorymakers@yahoo.com
Patrat, Woohoo! That was an awesome call.
txbabydocmom, We had some SR's that were Asmoed in our PIR and by the end of their training, they were saying that they were very happy that they had the extra time. I bet your son will be saying the same thing.
dbarton, Woohoo for another flag!
I absolutely love reading all the posts about the calls. It just warms my heart and brings back so many memories :-) meegan, I think what you are doing is a great idea. When he comes home on leave after A-school he can go to visit the grave for some closure. I know how hard this has been for you and I am so happy you got a call and was able to fill your heart with your sons love <3
