I'm doing the happy dance I got my phone call around 8:00 this morning, it was so good to hear her voice, she was crying, but I got her composed, she will be carrying their divison flag at graduation, so if you see 256, that will be my beautiful Callie! She is a grab and go too, she said she has to be at the airpot at 3:15 am Saturday morning. Hope you all get your phone calls take care and I'll see you at the meet and greet. Hey dflem she said your son is great very impressed by him!

Hi everyone!
I have been talking to a few girls on here about what we could do to stand out as a division. A lot of people are talking about doing the ribbons, but this will not set us apart as a division. I think the ribbons are a great idea and will be a great way for us to recognize other people that are there for PIR.
We were thinking that division 817 could all wear red in order for us to recognize each other as a division. How does this sound to everyone else? If anyone has another idea we can do that, we were just thinking red shirts with our navy ribbons would be cute. Please give input!
It's getting close to PIR!!!! :)

RNnavywife. My son is also in this division, last letter I received was dated 7/11 and his girlfriend received a few also. Sounded like things were getting better but obviously not completely. I know both myself and his girlfriend could really use a phone call. His letters said he had been sick for about 10 days, sore throat, fever, and cough. Not like him he usually doesn't get sick. I know he is a grad and go and has also been told 3am on saturday. He is Nuke and heading to Charleston, SC. Really hope they get through BS without any problems.

Are you handling all the ribbons for PIR, do I need to let you know anything?
I don't get on here everyday, so I will try to check back tomorrow night for info.

Thanks, Susan

The last letter I just got from my hubby was from the 11th. He said they start BS-21 at 8:30pm on the 22nd-9am the 23rd. He is going to be held over in Great Lakes for almost a month, even though he is going to A school there, it doesn't start until Aug 23. Don't know what he will be doing there until then..we'll see. It may change, who knows. He also said they were SUPPOSED to get an hour long call this week, but some of the guys have already messed that up by not behaving. So he's not sure if they will get a short call or any call at all. Seeing as how it's Thursday already, I am doubting it will happen. He said that other divisions have gotten multiple calls, they have only gotten 1 so far due to behavior problems. Fingers crossed they get that call!!!

we are doing blue ribbon gold or silver letters and try to find anchor pins. Going to Michael's tomorrow to get the supplies. I am also going to costco to get his contacts and I have to get his thing together this week. So if he has a 3am flight when do we go to the airport? I guess i better read up on grad&go

I was going to use blue ribbon and gold letters and look at the pins that I could attach to the ribbon.
