Have you heard from your daughter or son?  My daughter is in Div 300 and she sounds good, but tired.  Interesting in hearing how your daughter or son is doing.

thanks Shan, I suppose the powers that be know what they are doing, it might be selfish of me but I don't want him to have any delays that could cause him to graduate later. I am soooo ready for Sept 2.

Thanks to all of you for sharing your letters with the rest of us. It is so nice to know what they are doing for those of us who haven't gotten them yet. Shan- thank you so much for sharing your letter about 818. I cant wait to hear from my husband. :)

Congrats on getting your form letters and hand written ones...Kelly yours could be as soon as tomorrow..you never know. My son brought to voided checks from his checkbook but left his debit/ATM card with me. I don't think they would or he would need his debit card do you...if they have the routing number off of his check? Tisha...wisdom teeth... plural? and one day to recoup does not sound fair to me. Prayers to your son for a quick recovery!

Congrats on the letters and calls, I received my form letter today! My son is having his wisdom teeth pulled too but I don't know when. He said he would only have about one day to recoup. I find that hard to believe. I hope they recover quickly.

Got a letter today! Hooray!
Here's some news from the letter (written July 18):

I learned that my son has not yet received all of the letters we've been mailing. (So I'm hoping he gets a big stack of envelopes on the first day the recruits are allowed to recieve mail!)

Sunday, July 18 was the last day of P-Days (processing). Starting Monday, July 19, the actual training began.

Monday, July 19, was 1-1 day. Every Monday, the first number changes to reflect the week: 2-1, 3-1, etc. (I had read this in other postings here, but I still enjoyed reading my son's explanation.)

According to the grapevine, the recruits will be able to start writing letters every day and send those out twice a week starting 3-1.

Yes, Div 942 is a performing division (for others with a son/husband/boyfriend in this division. Again, I had read this on N4M, but was glad to get confirmation in a letter.)

And here are a few worthwhile of his that you might enjoy reading:

"Things are going pretty smooth so far in our division," he says.

"The chow's really good."

"We're usually too busy too worry about anything."

"I'd appreciate if you include in the next letter:
1. Who Lebron James signed with.
2. Roger Ebert's review of "Inception." [my son enjoys seeing movies]
3. Various BIG headlines (we get zero news here)."

"Please don't be afraid to send multiple letters filled with anything. I'd love to have a big pile of papers to read before I go to bed. They don't have to be handwritten. I'd love it if you just send some articles off the Internet."

Okay my Sista's here is what I have to share...Yes, about 90 in the Div. a few have DOR'd so far. Only receive mail once a week. Only have Sunday morning to write...very little time to do so because they have to study..iron and straighten out rack. He is a "watch" and works 2 hours at night 4 hours during day ( every other day) Food is actually really good and eats plenty 3 times a day."P" week= Processing Week was very rough, long and monotonous. They are just starting to get into the swing of things now Sun 7-18. "Don't worry about me, I am doing fine" Might be able to call in a couple weeks. I am so happy to receive this letter,I was not expecting it so soon. Just wanted to share it with all of you.
