Have you heard from your daughter or son?  My daughter is in Div 300 and she sounds good, but tired.  Interesting in hearing how your daughter or son is doing.

Keel Book: I don't know how much they cost because they lumped all my son's items together - I just heard the final total. Ask on the Boot Camp Moms' group, someone there may know!

Eunice - your recruit orders them, but don't worry - if they didn't order as many as you would like to have, you will have a re-order slip inside the folder they come in. You have one year to order more prints. I heard about it early on, so I sent my son a letter telling him to "shoot the moon" and get the most for MY buck! He spent $174 (the max) and paid for them a few days before PIR with his debit card and I then I gave him the money back (which he gladly accepted!). If your recruit doesn't have a debit or credit card with them, I have been told they can be deducted from their paycheck - don't know this for sure though. I was also told by a mom that the portraits can be held at the NEX for payment by a family member with a check, debit/credit card on PIR day (after ceremony). They really are Professional portraits, and they won't be taken again any time soon unless your sailor really climbs up the ladder in the Navy!

Thanks Sobe for the photo info. Do you know if they order them there or do we receive something before graduation?

junjens, {{{{{HUGS}}}}} to you! I would want to do the same for my son too! At least he called & he is being taken care of.

My son just called! He had just gotten 4 wisdom teeth removed and called to tell me he was fine. He didn't sound so fine, but no one does after getting their wisdom teeth removed. I want to help him and get him ice cream. Now I am so upset.

I got my second letter from Kristyn today. It was six lines, telling me she loves and misses me, she got her uniforms on the 18th, and she has not received a letter from me yet. I am sure they have crossed in the mail since I have sent one each day. Most important to me, her letter did NOT say she hated it, she thinks she made a huge mistake, and wanted to come home. I wish there were words to accurately convey how proud I am of her.
