Have you heard from your daughter or son?  My daughter is in Div 300 and she sounds good, but tired.  Interesting in hearing how your daughter or son is doing.

Below is some info on photos that JessicaB posted on another group. My son spent $174 - that was for Pkg A, the large Division Photo, DVD of PIR and the Keel book (bootcamp yearbook).

Package A includes:
1 - 11 x 14 photo
2 - 8 x 10 photos
2 - 5 x 7 photos
24 - wallets
1 - 11 x 14 division photo
cost $140.00

Package B includes
1 - 8 x 10 photo
2 - 5 x 7 photos
16 - wallets
1 - 11 x 14 division photo
cost $120.00

extra prints
11 x 14 - $17.00
8 x 10 - $11.00
5 x 7 (set of 2) - $11.00
wallets (set of 8) - $11.00
division photo - $20.00 (I believe there is only the one size 11 x 14)

They also sell frames (he didn't purchase any frames)
11 X 14 - $32.00
11 x 14 division - $32.00
8 x 10 - $23.00
5 x 7 - $19.00
Anchor's Aweigh - $16.00
14 x 18 Sailor's Creed - $37.00

Graduation video or DVD (circle one) $29.00
(DVD in limited quantities and video will be substituted if DVD not available)

Now I don't remember if son had to pay shipping. But it is $9.00 shipping for photos and $9.00/frame.

They have paper, pens/pencils and envelopes for the recruits. They do need to buy their own stamps at the NEX - so send stamps, but other stuff is not necessary, however you can send them if you like!
Comment by CKH on July 21, 2010 at 5:48pm
I was wondering if my husband needed things like paper and envelopes. I was under the impression that they had things like that but I thought I could at least send envelopes with stamps for him. If no one thinks that will be a problem. I will go ahead and send them as well.

They won't get into trouble for getting those envelopes, they just might have to open them in front of the RDC and might get teased (because their mommy sent them writing stuff!). But they won't get into trouble.

kellysmom, I actually just mailed out an envelope just like that with the same thing in it for my son!! Plain white pad of lined paper & about 10 envelopes with just a sticky note on it. I hope he doesn't get in trouble for something like that!

suzieq0606- thanks for the banking info, I was wondering about that. Does anyone know if I can send a large envelope (brown kind about 8.5 x 11) with paper and envelopes in it ? I don't want to get her in trouble. Thanks !

Hotel Information:
I just left this post on the Boot Camp Moms group page, but wanted to share it here as well...

I chose SpringHill Suites and just completed my reservation over the phone about 40 minutes ago. The woman who helped me was super nice, helpful, professional - fabulous! Answered all of my questions. And as soon as I said "we are staying for a Navy graduation" she started entering a discount -- before I even asked for it! How awesome is that!!! Woo-hoo!!!

She even emailed a confirmation, so I can print a copy for my own records.
