Have you heard from your daughter or son?  My daughter is in Div 300 and she sounds good, but tired.  Interesting in hearing how your daughter or son is doing.

Hi All, I've started a new group for Div 818. Maybe some of the experienced moms can join and give us newbies some info on what to expect with special ops. Anyone intrested is welcome to join and any assitance will be greatly appreciated by all.

CKH - Im exercising what I taught Ben - mind over matter..... Im focusing on next Wednesday as the day I get a letter. This way if one comes sooner - GREAT if not then I wont be disappointed - RIGHT? Well, thats my theory anyway - haha

Thanks Lydia, Sobe and Kelly...I definitely needed the pick me up. I will keep writing and waiting. I knew that spec ops had extra pt but I guess it would make sense that they would be treated a bit more harsh. I actually think my husband was worried that he would leave boot camp for dive prep in worse shape than when he got there...I bet thats not the case anymore. Again, thanks Ladies for the support. I just hope the form letter comes soon...

Iskridla and evanick - maybe if you change your screen name and add their ship and division and PIR date next to it like mine it will help others identify you as well. Also check on Boot Camp Moms like too if you have not already been there.

CKH - remember my son is also in Ship 4 Div 818 and I have had nothing yet either. However, I know some of the moms here said they dont ever start these guys mail for the first two weeks. My son got there Wednesday 7th - I think yours got there just after that right? So Im figuring that today marks the 2nd week more or less and now things should roll. But then of course Im figuring another 5 - 8 days just for those letters to get here to TX. So Im really not expecting anything till this time next week - but hoping that within the next 3 days or so he will start getting ours. The phone call could be another week as I know that is earned. Also - our guys are Spec Ops and I dont know if they are treated a bit more harsh than the others but that could explain some things as well. I saw a post here several days ago that said the Spec Ops guys/gls are up an hour earlier etc... hang in there, Ive sent 7 letter now and Ill send two more today. That more for me than it is for him! hahah

Do any of you moms who have been here done that know anything about how the Spec Ops kids are treated?
