Have you heard from your daughter or son?  My daughter is in Div 300 and she sounds good, but tired.  Interesting in hearing how your daughter or son is doing.

Lydia, Thank's for sharing what your son wrote! I am going to take the letters etc I wrote to the post office this morning. We live in NH but I don't know why it would take this much longer...anyway I am hopeful for today's mail coming! I know I will cry when I see his handwriting too!

Kelly59 - I got his form letter on the 9th day. Im in Texas - are you very far away or in a small town... Perhaps mail gets to Houston pretty quick - might take more time the farther away you live and the smaller your city?? hang in there - It will come and you will cry. I could hardly read Bens paragraph.. But he said that "Boot camp is different...a little good and a little not so good. I hope it gets better - been up 36 hours Im hallousinating now cant hardly read my own writing. Love you mom oh I wrote another letter but dont know when they will mail it." that was what his paragraph said. sniff

Lydia, You're lucky you at least got the form letter, I'm still waiting for that & my son has been there 11 days now & they are in the same division. I know there is info about the Great Lakes area on here somewhere but I can't pinpoint just where.lol. Ladies, can anyone help Lydia with that link? : )

So, judging by yalls info - it looks like we can spend more than just Thursday with our guys.. Im from Texas - can someone give me some ideas of where to go that is not too far from the base? I know nothing about the Great Lakes / base area. Still no phone call - still no letter except the form letter with a small paragraph. He has been there now 12 day. Guess I should not expect too much for another week or so. :o(
