Anyone have a 4yr STG?  Everyone I talk to is six-year, and I'd love to hook up with someone who has a 4-year.

Navy great grand dad
I loved yer post! And how right you are. My daughter is an STG2 and due to come home from 1sy deployment in next couple of months. She signed for 6...has app 2 1/2 left due to holds and ship being in dry dock. Would have been worse if not for holds.;)

If your son or daughter is waiting for their school...let them take advantage of going TAD..my Grandson is currently waiting for C school since June but is currently on TAD with the EOD's...and later this month with the SEALS...in between doing miscellaneous stuff on the various local bases..and of course fishing...It is so beautiful there in San Diego

Kelly - How cool is that?  FYI - I am changing my screen name to Sk8erkidsmom. I figure since we are suppose to use names that would be better.  Can't wait to me you.  I am so excited.  What an awesome surprise.  HOOYAH and thank you USN!

Kens Mom: my son called. Apparently our sons racks are right next to each other. So it was your son that is going to SGT with my son. I hope you get a call. They got an extra call as a reward for doing well on a test!

My son graduated from A school on July 23. Sometimes more than one class runs concurrently, so your son shouldn't have to wait long. And don't forget about life in the Navy - "Hurry up and wait!" And San Diego is GREAT; the school is in a great location.

yup.... Tell your sailors to sit back and smile and ENJOY SAN DIEGO!!!!!!!  Best place ever to wait to class up!!!

Comment by navymommo on July 30, 2013 at 6:03pm

My sailor waited 3 months for A school and then another 3 months for C school. Tell him to get some good TAD and smile!

Sitting around and waiting for A-school is killing my son!  He is ready to get started.  Arrived from GL on July 9th!  Still no word on when they will start.  Had ATT training in GL.
