SR's Mom - When we talked to our SR on Monday he told us he already mailed the last letter they are allowed - same ship same division.  Does anyone know if we should keep writing them or stop now? Not sure how long they can still receive letters?

Good morning!  Calls from 171/172 could start coming in today starting around 2 pm GL time.  Phones handy all day!

Its almost time!!! One week from today, we will see our SAILORS!! Time has just flown by and they have worked so hard!! Can't wait!! I should probably get packed as well! ;) thanks for all the suggestions and great PIR stories...I will definitely have my phone in hand ALL day!!

Val (Ship 09 Div 171) - I am coming up from Louisiana and will be going to Sarge's Meet & Greet, also.  My SR is Ship 03 Div. 176, but I think that isn't so important as all of us just being there for all our recruits...sailors in less than a week!  I am so proud of my daughter...she is looking great and sounds very happy with being in the Navy, which makes me happy for her, and also worried, but that's just a mom thing, as I am sure we all know!  LOL!  I am really looking forward to PIR...just realized that this time next week, we'll BE there!!!  Wow.  I really need to start packing!

Our SR is on Ship 03, DIV 175.  We received a letter today, saying it will probably be the last letter sent from boot camp.  All sounded good, and well prepared for the last big push these next few days.  So far, all good.

Can't make the meet & greet.  My flight doesn't get in until 1 am. yikes! :)  It' s a long flight from California, and I can't leave until I get off work on Thursday.  I'm just so happy to be going! I can't wait.

When my Sailor called I saw the 847 area code and I looked at my husband and said it's her and the phone continued to ring. i looked back at him and he said well don't you think you should answer it. Lol I think I was in shock or something. Everything felt like it was moving in slow motion that whole day. It's definitely one i will never forget :-)
