Lala -- love love LOVE the ribbons!!!! They look wonderful!!! Thank you so much for the timely turnaround too!!!
We got our fourth letter yesterday and our daughter sounded much more upbeat. She wrote that their division had only one flag so far and she wanted to get more! Plus she's looking forward to the fire fighting and the gas chamber!!! She also wrote that her division is still around 80 people because as they get people ASMO'd out, more get ASMO'd in. And she passed her PFA and a WTI (Weapons Turnover Inspection) and a Personal Inspection but she's still sick with a pretty bad cough and she doesn't want to go to medical and maybe miss something. Wow, what a change from her first letter and phone call.
Have a good weekend everybody!
Good morning all!
Hi LaLa, I have had a voice recital, spaghetti supper and Choir concert for my 15 year old this week on top of working so been a little short of free time. End of the school year is really busy. Choir and Baseball banquets on Fri and Sat then Im done!
Where is everyone? I have been stalking this page all day and still no activity. Good night all :-)
To the person(s) who were upset with no Mothers Day call...I know it was so disappointing. But they have 4,000-5,000+ SRs/sailors at RTC at one time....no way all could call home on the limited phones they have. Also, they want you all to get ready for "the fleet" when your sailor may be miles away and not be able to contact you on special days...sigh...just know that-- phone call or not-- you know that your SRs were thinking of all of you mamas on Sunday! :-)
Working, working.... So I can take off for PIR, leaving 3 weeks from this morning!! YEAH!
Good morning everyone!
SarahsMom: So glad that her medical waiver was accepted and she was able to re-enlist! We had heard that even with waivers, it is hard to get back in now since the Navy is so overmanned...but your daughter's experience proved that statement not always to be true...so thanks for the encouragement! Blessings to your daughter!
Thanks so much SarahsMom, I am so glad you love the PIR ribbons and I know you will wear them proudly :-)
