As my sons division was told in boot camp (he was there at Easter), "the only holidays you have here are Saturday and Sunday". On Mother Day, some may get to call, some will not and as diannep said keep that vibrating bra handy. Giggling

Laurie:  Well, on the Mothers Day call...remember...there are 4,000-5,000 SRs/sailors on RTC.  Most likely there will be some calls made--but obviously all can't call...so phones handy for sure.  Hopefully some will at least be able to call on Sat.  Calls are so very random...even for holidays.  Might be a "phone in the bra" day though to make sure you don't miss it if it happens!  Fingers crossed!

Hi all, I know it's probably wishful thinking but does anyone know what our chances are for getting a 'Mother's Day' call?  Fingers crossed.  :-)   Also, I need the link to RSVP for the 6/8 PIR Meet and Greet.  Where is it going to be held?  Time?   Appreciated.      Two letters and one 30+ minute call.....we'll all still hanging on over here.   Thanks everyone!

You guys have to see this video. It brought tears to my eyes this morning when I was watching the news. Here is what his mom said. “When my husband left on his deployment, our 6-year-old son could not walk on his own. He has cerebral palsy. Doctors originally said that he would never walk or do much of anything. While daddy was away, he learned to walk. For his homecoming, we set it up for Michael to walk to his daddy for the first time ever! We kept the fact that he could walk a secret the whole time his dad was gone!”

Good Morning everyone!

Just and FYI:

The Weather Widget is interactive.

If you hold your cursor over the top bar:

To the far left is the LIVE tab. This shows the current weather. If you go to another day or time and want to return to the current weather just click LIVE.

The tab next to it is the time you are at.

Next to that is the date. Click the arrows to advance or retreat OR click on it and you will get a Calendar and can click on any date.

The rest of the top bar is the current day. The little green marker is what the current time is. Slide your cursor across to go to any time of the day

The weather will change in the Picture accordingly. The Big Square box on the right with the written details will change also.

Just under the top bar to the left are the next four days of the week...click on those to look at them...click on the arrow to extend...it will add two more days.

All the little balloons, birds, planes, falling stars etc. are added features I believe. But when it is windy or cloudy...those reflect the true weather conditions.
