Someone asked for maps I think...don't know if this is exactly what you were looking or but here goes:

Great Lakes RTC Maps

See where it says Buckley Road and then you turn into RTC? This turn is OHIO. Then see Gate 8 with the red dot? This is the gate to enter for PIR. If you continue past Gate 8 on OHIO you will head straight into the Metra parking lot

Just an FYI for everyone. I went to PIR May of this year. We were directed to park behind Midway Hall  (where the black grid marks are beside the green building), NOT across the way where it says "Parking Lot Graduation" We DID return our Sailor to that parking lot across the way on the first night. All days after that I was always directed to the parking lot beside Midway Hall. I had to park and walk across (it's a walk)to get my SR from the NEX. (Visitors are not allowed past the Chapel)

Here is a full view of RTC:

Just double click either picture and they will enlarge.

Yes, piks allowed INSIDE the hall....not outside on the base.  They will confiscate your camera and delete them.  Get the piks quickly...they will clear the hall about 10 minutes after liberty is called.

Just arrived in Chicago Ohare! And got the email that I was approved for the site! Though I have been using this site almost everyday to keep updated. I want to say thank you to you all especially in these last two weeks! Go Division 948! I am so proud to be a future navy wife!

myson4/820 - Glad that you did find us and that it has helped. You are no longer a "civilian" family...it's funny how it changes. You can have the best friends in the world but the likemindednes is not there. Yet you'll meet someone or even here just a few lines and instantly you "know"...it's a comfort...it's so many things I just can't express right now.
I am in a Titus 2 Bible Study (learningbto be a better wife...it's NEVER too late if you're blessed with the opportunity) and was asked to lead as they were short leaders...the only reason I didn't volunteer right away is because it is another "compartment" in my head! I prayed about it and so added a stipulation...military or first responders as my hubby is both! Son is the Sailor. They agreed! We have a nice cozy group...God is good!
Again, blessings to you all...gotta go...need tissues!

I want to say Thank you to everyone here, too.  I joined a little late, but I'm so glad I finally found you all.  No one really understands when I tell them, "My son is a Sailor." and it is nice to have a place and people who understand how wonderful and proud we are when we hear that.  Thank you so much for all the advice and great tips.  I can't wait for tomorrow!

Dang it! I have maps and such...might have to make it a regular post and add on LaLa's info about the lanes. That helped me when I drove. I am on my phone...will do it as soon as I get home.
CONGRATULATIONS to all of you and your new Sailors! Safe travels and so full of joy for you and tomorrow! Can't believe we're at the end of BC. I think you all are my first PIR group that I helped get off the ground! Thank you proud2baNavyMom!
God bless and God speed.

What I read said you can only take photos inside at PIR.  If you take any outside, they will delete them from your camera or even confiscate the camera.
