Congratulations to your son on making E2 proud2baNavyMom :)

Hi ladies, I'm so excited today, was hoping for a letter from my SR and got 2. He is doing really good, passed his physical with flying colors, and was waiting for the results of his dep test. If he passed that he makes E2, fingers crossed !!!!!

He also said he is a section leader and has a thing to wear on his collar, not quite sure what that all means, but I'm sure someone on here will be able to tell me ?

He has thanked me for his letters and hoping for more, so keep sending those letters, I know they really look forward to them. I too will be sending some to a SR not receiving any mail, can't imagine how lonely that would be.

My SR has been there over 3 weeks, is there any chance of a call this weekend, or am i just dreaming?

Good luck to everyone else, I hope you all receive letters too, or a call. Take care, only 5 more weeks to go!!!!!

That is a great prayer Lala, I got a phone call from my SR today.  He sounded so great.  He has passed his baseline tests and has even reach E2 woo hoo. I am so very proud of him and it was greattttt to hear his wonderful voice.  He had 30 minutes worth of call time said DIV was doing great and that they had already earned one flag.  I am so proud of all of them.  I only talked to him for about 10 minutes or so and gave him his sisters number so he could call and talk to her.  He ended up getting to talk to her and his fiance, his aunt and uncle and his high school pricipal who directed him to the Navy I am so glad he is doing well.

I love the New Comment on N4M's Logo above :-)

I have this on my facebook and thought some of you may like it. Feel free to share it if you wish. I got it from a friend.

As 9/11 approaches ....I would like to share this prayer Now I lay me down to sleep...one less terrorist this world does keep...with all my heart I give my thanks...to those in uniform regardless of ranks...you serve our country and serve it well...with humble hearts your stories tell...so as I rest my weary eyes...while freedom rings our flag still flies...you give your all, do what you must...with God we live and God we trust....Amen

I got my first real letter from my brother today. He had his wisdom teeth out. He is doing well with the physical fitness tests.

Anyone staying at the LaQuinta?

Comment by Karen on September 9, 2011 at 5:27pm
I got my first "real" letter yesterday, written Sunday 9/4. He sounded good. Still has a great sense of humor. Said it sucked, but not as much as he thought it would. He had a great recruiter. Great idea to send a generic letter for them to pass on. I can't imagine how lonely that must feel to not get mail. Think I will send an extra questionnaire and stamped envelope too.

I echo what Lala said, everyone.  Please stay on this main board as well.  We N4Moms veterans do NOT have time to check all of the division groups.  We are all on 7-8 PIR groups and it gets very time consuming.  So if you want info, please stay on this main board and ask/check posts.
Comment by diannep on September 9, 2011 at 10:29am
Yes, Lala.  FTLW has been great about posting in the PAGES, leaving the discussion area for the divisions and other random info.  Glad you found them!  I did the same thing the other day....forgot...then realized where the info is!
