Well...it would have helped if I had said WHERE I added them!

They are on "Week by  Week at boot camp" in the Pages section which is to the right of the weather and Boot Camp video.

Hi Everyone!

I have added two videos put out by Navy Recruiting Command. Navy Boot Camp 1 and 2...just so you can see  a little about what goes on.

It's rated "G" for general audiences...your Recruits get the PG-13 version for mild languauge and intense action sequences! (This is a joke people...laugh!)

Enjoy!

For those of you reserving your hotel remember it is fine to do this early. They will hold your room with a debit or credit card and they don't charge it until you check in. The hotels there are very understanding if you have to cancel or change your reservation. Most of them allow you to cancel right up to the day you are due to arrive with no fee or charge. As far as I know they all offer discounts for PIR and you can get some really good deals. I think it is best to call them direct. The Navy Lodge is about $65 a night and you don't have to have military ID to stay there. They also have kitchenettes for the same price if you book early enough. They will put the room in your Recruits name and ask that they stop by the front desk after PIR. The Navy Gateway Inn is only about $55 a night I believe but you do have to have military ID to check in. There are some very nice places there to stay so decide what want and then give them a call.

Also if you have not found your SR's ship/DIV above in the list of discussions please do so and join that discussion that is an opportunity for you to meet other moms of your SR's ship/DIV.

Welcome aboard new members.  Everyone please remember to check the calendar on the left for the meet n greet at the Ramada.  We can always go somewhere else after meeting up there, but this is a chance to meet everyone you have met on here and to put an actual person with the name LOL.  We are up to 10 members with a total of 57 lets keep growing.

proud3baNavyMom:  I admire that your hubby is that way in a world that spends way too much!  You'll have that extra $$ to take your new sailor out somewhere nice for dinner!  :-)
Comment by proud2baNavyMom on September 6, 2011 at 9:52pm
Part of the reason we book there though is bc my husband is the money miserest person I believe I have ever known and they were they cheapest with an indoor pool for our girls LOL
