Dianne know because she lives here in N4M cyber space lol. She is a wealth of information and I don't know what this site would do without her infinite wisdom :-)

Happy dancing for all those letters arriving, Yahoo

That is always good NavyMom, it makes it seem to be going by much faster, well for at least a few days it does lol.

Well I have a bunch of ribbons to make for the 9-9  and 9-16  PIR groups and I need to get back at it. I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and I hope all those affected by Irene are safe and have what they need to get through , especially power back on and receding water :-)

Just got my boyfriends form letter! So excited.

Hi everyone! Got my daughter's letter today, I just keep reading & rereading her little note at the bottom. She sounded upbeat. What a relief. Her PIR is a week earlier than I expected. Which is great!. She is in Ship 07 Div346. I started a discussion group above.

And, kjkooz:  Don't every apologize for asking any questions on here.  Nothing it too trivial, silly, or redundant in our book....we try and answer each and every question on here.  We N4Mom veterans want to make sure you all have as complete an understanding as possible of bootcamp, etc.  So ask away!

kjkooz:  On the RTC site, they are now listed.  And, I said that about the 800 divisions (special ops) because they don't have a 800 group every single week (there are PIRs most every week in the year...they skip every now and then, but not too often except during Christmas break and maybe a couple of more times).

Here is the link on the RTC page so you can see:

Dianne - forgive me (I'm new at this) how do you know the info on how many divisions there are and why did you say that there are not often 2 800 divisions? Just curious & trying to learn as much as I can!

Dianne, my mom called me back and said that she had a doctor's appt. at noon, so not to come over there yet.  My dad swears that he will call the insurance company.  I hope he meant it.  A neighbor has a generator and is allowing them to tap into it.  So they are able to keep the fridge going and if my mother needs her oxygen, she can use it.  I tried calling them, about 15 minutes ago, but they are still out.

TG 48:  11 Divisions (341-348, 820, 821, 948)  HOOYAH!  You all are on the RTC upcoming grad list!  And two 800 divisions!  That doesn't happen too often!

TG=Training Group

Proud2baNavyMom:  Can you add the above info after the PIR Date Title of this group?  Thanks!

Gate passes will be available to print 10 days before PIR!  That is an exciting day as it makes you realize how close to PIR you actually are!

Betsy, did you go to your parents' place already?  Hope it wasn't horrible over there.  So hard when these disasters affect the elderly.  Mine are 83/86--dad with awful dementia/Alzheimers (not sure which one).  LARGE house...thankfully their house has never been damaged by a hurricane even though they have gone through many.  Just yard debri, torn patio screens, .  I hope that we get none...but if so, certainly hope they don't damage.

Lala:  Maybe they will make an exception and allow others in barracks who have no power after the storm?   I don't know.  I know that normally in my son's barracks, they don't allow that.  But these are unusual times!  I hope it works out for them.  Have you heard from them yet?

Comment by Betsy, mom of Stennis sailor on August 29, 2011 at 12:30pm
Lala, Awww, how nice that they will be having a ceremony now.  :)  My daughter was apart from her fiance for a year (while finishing up with college) and she is so happy now that she is finally able to be with him in Hawaii.  (Of course, who wouldn't be happy about living in Hawaii, lol? )  He has one more year in the Navy and then they plan on getting married.  I do feel kinda lucky that my other favorite sailor, my youngest son, is still happily single in Pensacola.
