Oh I def feel ya'll about the gf!  My son (my one and only child) has his first real gf now.  It was soooo very hard at first and I really had an issue but then I just had to embrace it!  He knows though that I will always be there for him and I am sure that all of your sons/daughters know the same thing!  Keep ur chin up mama bears!

:'( I know mammas...it's hard but very common for those first calls and letters to go to GF first...

littleone68 sorry that you have not received a letter yet either..I'm in the same boat my son's girlfriend is on spring break to so I don't know if he sent her a letter. We always knew someday a special young lady would come before us but geeeezzz really now...why now of all times..LOL You are right though, he knows how strong you are and I am sure the letters will be in the mail to you any day now.

no letter here either.  tho his gf said he told her that she should have one waiting when she gets  back to school on monday (she is on spring break from college this week)... just a good think i like her so much.  tho i must admit i am a bit annoyed she is getting all the calls and letters.  i know in a way it is actually a compliment to me.... i am always the "rock" of the family.  with his limited time to write he knows i am stronger than she is and will worry less if i don't hear.

Great!! I still haven't received a letter yet, so let's hope for phone calls. I am in Florida though so I am not sure how long the mail will take, I know the form letter was 4 or 5 days from the postmark. If you get a call make sure you share the news we love calls & letters no matter who gets them, it is alway happy news!!!
