Got a letter too..... my SR missed Marlinspike she was SIQ from having her wisdom teeth out. Is that going to be a issue for her?

I came home and got 2 letters from my SR !  So glad they can write more.  She actually had some fun last week ! DId basic seaman training - learning how to moor lines to deport from the peer and dock.  Of course she was one of the leaders for one of the 6 mooring lines.  Said it was a play ship in a big warehouse.  Her group of men did awesome.

Please pray 118 learns to work together and set aside their pride.

She said hell week starts get up at 0400 and taps at 2200 (10pm) sometimes earlier get up.  During hell week they do gas chamber, fire fighting, more seaman work, etc.  A lot of hard work but she is excited.  The best way to learn !

This time apart is tough but we can do it... then we will have communication back !  Ok.. I am feeling better !

Y'all are such good mothers finding appropriate and nice gifts for your SRs. Mine's getting 7 pair of monogrammed white boxers. I should have monogrammed the days of the week, but instead I just put his initials.

FTLW - Kitten lovers! my SR was explaining the sickness they all got to me the best way he could on the phone! I still get a laugh out of it every time I think about it :)

I am sooooo happy they have NFMs, all your comments make me feel better. I miss my SR and I haven't heard from him lately. Really counting the days now until PIR! Thanks for everyone posting, believe me it helps many of us!

proudmom to post a  pic just save it to your pictures on your computer and then click on the second little box just above where you type here to post a comment. It is right beside the one that say link. If you hold the cruiser over it it will say image. Then click on choose a file. Go to your pictures and click on the photo you want to add and once it is loaded click okay. then add the comment. It sounds complicated but it is pretty easy.

I have just found challenge coins for the sub my husband was on. Gonna order one for him and find one for our SR. Neat surprise for both.

Got a letter today. Sounds to be in good spirits. Said her division did well in Marlinspike and are continuing to do well. Things are getting better. They are officially considered a "senior division". She did say time is going by real fast. They are having more and more freedom as they go. Looking forward to seeing all of us!!
