Just ordered my PIR gift from nwtmint.com.  I saw several post about challenge coins, but just didn't know if my SR would want one.  However, I decided to go look at the website.

I found the perfect gift for him.  He has always collected knives.  They have a lockback pocket knife that he will be able to carry while in uniform.  I read that the blade has to be less than 3 inches and all of theirs are.  It looks great in the picture so I can't wait to get it and see what it actually looks like.

While there, I also ordered a Sailor's Creed Challenge Coin.  I couldn't find one from Boot Camp or GL, so thought this was the most appropriate.  They are so reasonably priced that I couldn't pass up getting both items.

Now if he still wants a watch, we can pick that out as a late birthday gift, but at least I have something to surprise him with.  Made my day!!!

I was cutting out a new suit this weekend and thinking how much being in BC is like making a suit.  The RDCs take a bunch of broken pieces and make something nice out of it.  I hope the RDCs are doing a better job with their pattern pieces than I am.  I bet they're not cussing half as much as I am, either!
