Ya, I feel like I am over emotional about this... especially since it is not really an issue for me because he is my son not my husband.  Just maybe this is something I have attached myself to so I can be angry at something.

GOOSFRABA!!  GOOSFRABA!!

mamabeans..... stay strong. He made the right decision! The rules are there for a reason, just like you said with judgement regarding drinking with minors. Unfortunatley there are a few that reuin it for the group. The rules are not intended to make them miserable but to enforce respect for authority. Nothing is as bad as it seems at first glance. If it doesn't bother him then it shouldn't bother you. Don't let the little stuff get to you.

For the first time, I am really starting to doubt this decision of his.  HELP!  I need to get back to the positive road!!!

I know I follow laws/rules all the time that I think are ridiculous.  You should see some of the laws out there!

Now I just have this feeling today... I will get a robot, not a man returned. :(

This is the answer I got.  U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command Recruits are to be in uniform at all times. This is what their instructions are and this is what they know. It doesn't matter if anyone else states that no one will know what they are wearing in a hotel room, the recruits know they are to remain in uniform. If they will be doing any recreational activities, they must be in their PT gear.  Still doesn't address the sex question for those married.

Just STUPID.  I am allowed to have an opinion about it since I am not in the Navy.

I mentioned to my husband that I was going to take our son's favorite soft drink up to him.  He reminded me that the SR's have had no soft drinks for eight weeks and it might mess up his stomach.  You're right, diannep, the same goes with alcohol.  It would affect their systems a lot differently now than before.  Now, for me, after he goes back to base - break out the vodka tonic!!!!!!

Thanks navy mom friends:)  I love this site, you all make me feel so much better.  Every day there is new information and inspriational thoughts and messages.  What would we do without each other?  I also wanted to put up a picture of the sweatshir I ordered from cafepress.com  I mentioned it previously, but forgot to show it.  I am going to give it a try...
