My son's name is Mike Schneider.  What is your son's name?  Have a wonderful time out there.  There is a possibility that my husband & I might be able to fly out early next week to visit Michael, if we can get affordable flight rates at this late date, as well as a place to stay. Our travel agent is working on it, & we'll know more by the end of the week.  I'll keep you posted if anything develops, maybe, if things work out, we'll see you out there!

Thank you for your response.  Can't wait to talk with you, as a new member to the group and a first time "sub mom".    Linda

Contact Chris--she is close to you and the Arvada recruiters.  She helps put together a lot of Molly's Adopt a Sailor packing parties and is just the greatest person.  I was lucky to meet her a year ago when we got together for our first "nationwide" packing party.  I'm down in Illinois by St. Louis.

Hi--sorry I missed you on chat.  My son is also an MM sub.

Don't know how far you are from Arvada, but there are some great moms over there.  I met them last May at a packing party.  Look up the Colorado state group.  Also check out Molly's Adopt a Sailor--it keeps me occupied!

Hi. We have been to Charelston many times since we got married, and lots more since our sailor went there about 18 months ago. Great area! Tell your sailor to watch out for the alligators.

Hi again Lion55's mom! I laughed at your last post -- about your son learning to fold clothes, etc. --- we cleaned out his room before he left and I kept telling him it looked like an episode of "Hoarders" ... lol :) My personal e-mail address is Kmil65@hotmail.com ... feel free to write me there any time, may be easier than this huge forum (I have trouble navigating it too!) ... sounds like we are on the same journey since our kids left at the same time. Take care and I hope to hear from you soon!
