Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Basic Training Exhibits - Weeks 1-8
Arrival and What Happens at the RTC within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) will let you know what is happening and what to expect.
It includes a link for a Day by Day, which is close, but is missing a few of the changes. Write and ask your recruit to date a letter with the calendar date and the DOT so you can follow along.
Hi, Momma Jo — My son, Austin, is in Division 369. He is a teacher, and I think he’s the one you mentioned is helping your son study. He said when we talked on Saturday that he is Education Petty Officer. It was very nice of you to mention that it’s helpful to your boy, and I hope they all do well on their tests this week!

Hi, What a happy day for families- lots of phone calls and letters received from everyone's recruits. Matthew is 18, he just graduated in June. It's funny, our oldest is Benjamin. We have one more at home but he starts his senior year in a couple of weeks so our empty nest is on the horizon. Matthew's leaving has been harder for me than I expected; even though Benjamin is away at school, he's in Boston (only about 45 minutes away) and he still has his part-time job locally so we see him about once a week. Is your older son still in the Navy? On a totally different topic, I've been reading/hearing about the red tide in Florida. Is that affecting where you live? Sounds scary and gross...

Hi Momma Jo, My son is Matthew and we are in Massachusetts. We have not received a personal letter yet but I’m trying not to get my hopes up too high because writing has never been his thing. M will be going to Charleston for nuclear. You are one strong mom to have gone through this twice!
Hi,
My husband's name is Sergio and he was in the front row, black sweater and mustache. I just received my first personal letter today, hope you get one soon. I know he had mentioned that your son was also doing avionics and I'm not sure if he was also doing A school in Pensacola. Glad to have found this community.
Hi, My son is also ship 7,div 369. We just received the form letter yesterday.
Divisions 369 and 370 are brother divisions and train together and will have Battle Stations-21 (BST) together, so look for others with loved ones in either division. Write to your recruit and ask when Battle Stations-21 (BST) will be so you will know when to expect the "I'm a Sailor!" call.
Jolene976, I see you have changed your Username so that it no longer contains your first name (probably when you first joined). You may also want to change the URL (address) to this page. Make change 2 at the bottom of OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) (clickable link) to take care of that. (If you are using a Smart phone, you will need to switch to Desktop View to make this change.)
Also make change 3 while you are there so that this page is no longer open to EVERYONE (Anyone) with access to the web.
There may be other changes you need to make as well (change 4???), so read and consider each of the changes.
If you get an error message, then look at the area/s in the error message and unclick all of the choices in the area/s and make choices closer to the question/s. Some choices may have changed since you joined.
Is your other Sailor still serving? If so, then where is he stationed? What vessel, if one? There may be groups I can direct you to.
