FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Good afternoon.   Glad to hear your daughter is now in Virginia.  At least she will be a little closer.  Are you sure her TAD is temporary additional duty??  My grandson is TAD but his means Temporary Assigned Duty because he was originally assigned to the USS Harry S Truman but went with the USS Dwight D Eisenhower when they deployed.  When he returns he will go back to the Truman.  What ship is your daughter assigned to?  My grandson is in the Air Department and works on the flight deck.  Tell her to keep her chin up.  Talk to you later.

hi there...my name is Yolanda...my sailor is a male, but I dint think that matters....I told him that if there are cellow sailirs that dint have fam there...they could come with us. I live 1 hr away and we are headingoutat 4 am.

Amy Johnson says she will get you to cleveland to get the bus.  call Sarge to see if he can pick you up at the bus station, the woman below says she will help with transportation wile you are therem to and from the Base.    Sarge--847-212-0246.  Please go to the facebook page ohio navy families to touch base with the women who are trying to help.
