Ok it is less than a month away. Thought I was prepared for him leaving. Been through this with one ( marines) already, but did not think I would be getting emotional everytime I think about it.

There is no longer a group for the USS San Diego, but you may find others on that vessel in Amphibious (Gator Navy), San Diego Moms or Sailors in San Diego, San Diego Moms/SOs, and/or Sailors Stationed in California. Check out http://www.sundiegolive.com/ for views of the Bay.
I did get your response. I called Brewster yesterday for Jarrett's address. Letters in the mail now!
Jarrett and Colton have some aquaintances in commom - not surprise but kind of neat.
Jarrett is in Ship 09, Div. 021. What about Colton? Jarrett said when they were at the airport he and your son gave the other Navy recruit a hard time (all in fun!). Called him "grandpa" because he's 31. I got a chuckle out of that.
Hey, do you have any idea when their PIR is? I heard it will NOT be 12/23 which is what I calculated. Not only that, we spend $1,300 on plane tickets. Crap! I suppose I will wait on that form letter for exact date.
When we spoke the other day at the the recruiters office, I thought you looked familiar. Are you from Rogers? Feel free to txt me - 787-3897
Take care and praying for your kid and your family.
Kim
So true! I spent a lot of time in his room yesterday. He did text me a little but here I thought he was in route to Chicago and he's playing x-box at a hotel. Final oath today then flying out...
Hey, when do you think their graduation will be? 12/16 or 12/23?
