Hey Ann-Marie, I currently live in St. Louis but my sailor is in Groton, his PIR was last

Friday 6/1.  For the first time since he left for boot camp I finally got a call that he was upbeat.  I hope he can make the most of it because he signed for 5 years.  I still have family in Lowell and Andover.  I will be making a trip up there for my parents 60th in Oct. but now that my sailor is in Groton I may have to make a visit sooner than I thought. Tks for the offer to bring something to him and if need be I will take you up on it.  Getting together sounds good too, I will let you know if I make it this summer.  You are very lucky you live so close.  Keep in touch.

Hi Ann Marie,  I am out of town but my husband is at home and checked the mail and Thursday we got 5 letters from Jacob!  He had to read them all to me over the phone.  There were lots of parts where he was chocked up and had a hard time reading them.  He sounded good on some days, stressed, anxious, depressed, homesick on other days.  I hope we all get phone calls tomorrow (Sunday).  Since that is their only down time I am really hoping to hear his voice.  Have you received any more letters?
