Ny daughter is finally coming hhhhhome after about 5 weeks in SEPS !!!!

My daughter has been in ship 5 for about 5 weeks.  She is finally coming home.  She is taking a psych leave , but has medical issues that  would dispose her from qualification.  If your child has had frequent ear infections which led to insertion of ear tubes, please check their hearing closely.  We never noticed that their was a hearing loss, The Navy did,

Moving for A school

Hi everyone! My husband leaves for bootcamp in December and afterwards will stay in Great Lakes for 9 weeks of A school.

We want my son and I to move to GL after he's finished with bootcamp. I understand the Navy will not cover cost and will only cover our move from home on record (el Paso, TX) to his first duty station, but has anyone ever moved with their sailor during a short A school? Any advice?

We were thinking of putting everything in storage and either flying up (because we… Continue

Missed the Box delivery

Fedex tried to deliver the Box today. The doorbell rang but I didn't run for it because UPS and the Mailman usually just ring the bell and leave...to let someone know there is a package on the porch. I didn't know that Fedex needs a signature...I would have sprinted to the door. Now I have to wait until tomorrow.

June 12 Recruits - No Form Letter Yet

Hello Fellow Moms of June 12th week Recruits.

The whole No News Is Good News is so true.

I wanted to give a quick update just in case you have not received your form letter either. I spoke with my son's recruiter this morning and found out that there was not enough to make a division so that is why I have not received his form letter with his address. He did state that his projected PIR is August 4th but that will properly change to August 11th. He asked me to call him on…

Lonely

So my boyfriend graduated a couple of weeks ago and is in Pensacola for his A school. He is my absolute everything and without him I am pretty much a loner. Something that I have gotten really used to, but now I am longing for something to do. Most of my friends are interested in partying all the time, not that I don't enjoy parties its that I wouldn't know much people and I am not the best at small talk. Point is my Sailor has met pretty awesome people and having a great time and I can't…

Thinking about him all the time...

My son arrived on Monday 6/12.  I got my call that night and he sounded tired.  Wonder why??  Ha! I received the box on Thursday.  No letter yet.  I don't know if he will write, but I am sending him writing materials, just in case:)  It's just so hard not knowing how he is, has he made any friends, is it what he thought it would be. He had a friend leave 2 days after and I wonder if they will see each other. He has been 8 hours away at college the last 4 years, but I still talked to him…

Missing Him

I'm missing my son. Yesterday, I read a breakdown of what he might be doing daily. Wow, I'm not sure if I read that they get a chance to sleep, lol. I can't wait to joke him about how he better not complain about helping me around the house, with all the work he's doing in BC. Lol

He Arrived

My son left for MEPS on Monday 6/12/17. Traveled to Chicago and arrived in BC last night. He called me during his stops but when he called me last night I knew that he had arrived, because the tone of his voice changed. (Very serious, lol). He said they will ship his belongs and cell phone and he will call me in three weeks. Every day gets better the first day was nothing but tears. This site has given me comfort. Thank you. Pray for all. I'm officially a NAVY mom, now. Lol

Needing Information about Graduation and my Sailors Unit Page.

My son is in "A" school and has been for over a month now. I get a few calls and texts from him but I realize he is very busy with schooling and other things he must do. I have ask questions and don't always get an answer or response and since it seems most days I still have very little time to actually "talk" to my Sailor I sometimes don't ask all the questions on my mind. Can someone direct me to a page/website that can give me some insight on his days? His graduation? I found something…

To be a SEAL

Hello everyone,

I am trying to find out some information on the next steps after boot camp so my husband can become a SEAL. See my husband trained for 2 years to enlist in the NAVY and go into the SEAL program. But I feel like I am in the same situation that I was in BEFORE he enlisted, informationless. My husband left to boot on the 17th of May and since then I have tried to research how he can move forward with his dream and I can't seem to find useful information. After he…
