Can't believe it...it's been 5 1/2 months since my daughter was sworn in and this journey began.
So many emotions are going through my head right now. Miss her, nervous for her, excited for her, anxious to see her again...so on and so on.... And we haven't even dropped her off at the hotel yet. Tonight is going to be a night that I am never going to forget.
I know these next few days, weeks, months are going to have their ups and downs. But I do know for sure,…

My son arrived yesterday. Had a 20 min briefing so was unable to give much info. Any other Pensicola Mom's out there? He did mention "phasing" but I'm not familiar with that term. He said he may have a longer stay there than anticipated and does not technically start school for 2 weeks? He said he will call soon with more info. I'm confident but curious on what to expect for him, any heads up would be greatly appreciated.

Perspective: In the aftermath of the latest devastating news of the loss of our servicemen, I’m in a dilemma about what to consider “something bad,” and where does my life fall in the mix? By no means is this meant to be inclusive of the topic, but only some random thoughts from a person in the midst of “stuff.”
One of my friends reminded me of the long-ago days of the Vietnam War, when the evening news reported daily large numbers of U.S. soldiers KIA. Death happens…

I just created a photo book in mypublisher.com that turned out fantastic! The printed book is just like a professional coffee table book you buy in a store. I've been looking for way to show my pictures and this is phenomenal! I love it! The price is also great! With a base price of $29.80 you get 20 pages and the cover. You can create stories in each book.

I just joined this site. My son has known he was going into the military since he was 5. He even got his pilots license in high school while completing 4 years of NJROTC. He is going to MEPS next week. I have no idea what to expect. If he gets through MEPS, how long does it usually take before they are sent to boot camp? I am so clueless about the process and a kind co-worker told me that this type of site existed. Is there somewhere I should go for answers? Thanks, all. I look forward to…
