Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Son arrived at boot camp Dec. 13

My youngest son arrived at boot camp on Dec. 13 I thought it would be easier for me since I already have a son in the Navy, but it is still hard going through this process.

Christmas at Boot Camp

Hi there!  Merry Christmas to everyone!

My son entered Boot Camp on November 22.  He is in division 083.  I had hoped for a call at Christmas, but alas, did not get one.  It's not like it was promised or anything, I just miss him and had hoped for one.

So, what did they do on Christmas at Boot Camp?  I can't seem to find much.   I don't think he is far enough along to be part of the Adopt-A-Sailor group.  Did they have a full/regular day?  Did he get or do anything special? …

Nervous Mom

So my daughter started camp in Oct and was just  pushed  to the FIT division as she hurt her knee on her final PT run and was not able to finish..Has anyone been through this. She did call to let me know she would not graduate this week and that the x-rays would come back today.. 

I am not sure if or who I can reach to find out what the results are and when she  will be able to retest. They only allowed her less than  5 mins to call and of  course was in tears the whole…
