My son went in on August 1st. I know it is most likely still way too early to hear from other moms with family in this ship/div number but I would love to hear from you! We can give each other support!

7 more days, it just doesnt seem real... and the closer it gets if I ponder to long it is hard to breath. I know this is all God's plan and I know he will do great, its just going to be hard not to hear his laugh not to see his smiling face and empty room. So proud and looking forward to the man is he going to become. Just trying to soak it all in :)

Hi There,
I enjoy this site very much. Has helped me this week big time! I'm having trouble finding a group who's kids reported July 30th. My son arrived Monday, I got "THE CALL", I got "THE BOX" but I thought I'd have his address by now. I was hoping to chat w/ others who's kids are at the same level/report day as my son Zach.

I'll admit it. I forget. I forget way too easily. I get caught up with everyday normal things. I hate my job. I'm looking for a new one. I hate my stupid school schedule that forces me to be on campus five days a week, even if tuesdays I only have to be there for an hour. I hate the way my mother nags. About my room. About moving out. About my sailor.
Wait. I've got something to be thankful for. My sailor.…

Hi Ladies! I have a question....maybe more like a decision I need you all to help me with. My son will graduate bootcamp September 21, 2012. He is a "grad and go" to Pensacola. My understanding of that is he, well, graduates and goes! LOL! I dont think he will have any time with us, I have heard they can leave anywhere from immediately after PIR to that Sunday. I want to be there for PIR, will need to book a flight for his dad and I. So I'm wondering - would it be better to skip PIR…

I should be cooking, I should be going to the store, I should be...I should be....I'm sitting still in front of the computer, reading post after post.
Does my brain really think procrastinating is going to make ANYTHING better or that if I procrastinate it won't…

Tonight is a veryy sad night, I miss him so much it hurts. I got a letter from him today that seemed to put me in an awful place but to best honest I would do anything for this kid, so it looks like I'll be heading to Chicago bright and early Thursday Morning, I am so excited but very nervous at the same time, what keeps me going is imagining me jumping into his arms as soon as I see him. IDC whose watching or whose looking I wanna just hold him until I physically get pried off of him. 2…

I have a sailor that just graduated from boot camp and now my other son wants to join which I am all for . My questions is I know that if you have asthma they will not take you but what about sports induced asthma when they
were in middle school. He is not on anything for it. Does he have a chance of getting in

Today, I decided to write a letter "from" our pets to my son, Josh. He has been really depressed lately and I felt the need to try to cheer him up!!
In the letters, I included pictures and referred to them as if they were the ones writing the letter. IE: our little mini weiner dog (who Josh trained to sneeze when she wants cheese) as well as our Australian Shepherd who seems to think it is okay for him to get in the trash because it smells like chicken and pizza. Words from our cat…

Recieved a letter from my son on yesterday and it was very interesting. His call yesterday was kind of sad because he actually was crying and saying how he miss us and wants to come home. Well, I miss him but I am glad he is doing ok...I always send him words of encouragement to help him daily.
