My son was supposed to leave for BC in March. He recieved a phone call about a job opening, so now he is leaving Tuesday Oct. 12. Wow, I'm excited, that he's excited. But I'm still trying to prepare myself in a matter of days rather than months. I am so proud of him, and comforted in the fact that he is well aware of this decision. I am going to miss him for the next several weeks, and look forward to graduation. I am most grateful for this site. I don't know how I would be taking this…

This week I realized that Im am so very happy my daughter made the decision to go into the Navy....instead of College as she had originally planned. Last seen leaving a late night party......and several days later his body found in the bay!...
I keep thinking how this mother must feel....my…

My life changed forever the second he walked onto that plane, when I got the "I am a sailor phone call", when he proposed to me on PIR weekend and on September 3rd…

Last text I received from my daughter was lastnight, she was leaving Ohara airport for camp
No news is good news... .my moto. I concentrate on the advantages my daughter has going to bootcamp. She has been in JROTC since she was twelve. We have the program not just in the High schools but junior high. She took to it like a duck to water and for seven years it was an everyday part of life. Every muscle in her body reacts to commands instantly, second nature to her now. Her posture…
