These guys are singing to a fellow shipmate's son about how they will be there for him forever. I cry everytime I see it.

I have always been proud of all the past and present servicemen and servicewomen and have always honored them in any way possible. Now, I have a different appreciation for the servicemen and servicewomen since my three children are part of the Navy. My daughter, Samantha, is a reservist, my older son, John, is full-time SARs and deployed now and heading overseas, my younger son, Matthew, is a DEPPER and ships out in July. Any time a news broadcast talks about the military, I stop in my…

Only 15 days left until PIR! Somehow it seems time is slowing down this week? Can't get through the days fast enough. Where is a magic time machine when you need one?
So excited I can barely breathe!
June 11, 2010 Hurry up already!

Yippee! I can write my son. I contacted his recruiter, and received the information, sent 2 letters off today. Writing another tonight, and some jokes, to lighten the mood.
Being able to write, helps me feel better. Waiting for PIR date, received his box yesterday.
Anyone else child leave on or around May 20th?

Got our letter yesterday so we can now write to her. Let me know if anyone out there has the same address??
A lady overheard me in the dentist office this morning talking about my daughter in boot camp. She stopped me on the way out and said she had been in the Navy as well. Then, she prayed for me and for my daughter. Made me cry. What a blessing to have people around who are so caring!
