Thank you so much for the info! :) I really appreciate all thAt I can get! I agree with you when you suggested we move down there and see what is right for us... But where do we stay in the meantime? Is that what you guys did? Where did you stay? Also, I noticed the homes you are staying in are about 20 25 min away from the hospital... Does your husband work at the hospital? How is the commute? I've read online that we should stay away from bridges and tunnels seeing as the traffic can be so unpredictable.
:/ last question I promise! Lol have you heard anything about "The Myrtles" ? They are about 5 min from hospital ... Another lady on here turned me on to them so I was just wondering if you had an opinion on them :)Thanks again! Any little information helps! We really have no idea what we are doing haha

I wish I had read your comment about slipping a note in your husband's wallet before he left for Boot Camp!! I would have loved to have done that for my son. As for your tips about letter writing I am going to definately start now and keep writing until he sends me the form letter on where to send them.

His A school was 14 weeks. And about halfway through he was able to pick his next orders. From his experience a lot went to FMTB, some went on to their first duty station, and some went to a C school. Almost everyone who went to C school is now going through FMTB.  Once he gets to phase 2 in A school he will have all weekend liberty. I was able to visit him once during the weekend. We stayed in Chicago off base from Friday night until Sunday night, so I highly suggest you visit him :) oh and he started A school a week after boot. Right now we are stationed at Parris Island, SC and he works in the ER for the marine recruits. He likes the extra training.  I'm enjoying it for the most part. I love being back with my husband! Lol we've been apart is Jan. It is a different life style but I am just trying to make the most of it. Once you get to where you are going to be stationed just jump in head first on making a life there :)

Hi! I'm in the corpsman mom group and saw you had some questions. We just went through boot, a school, and FMTB this year. I'd be happy to answer any questions that I can for you.
