While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Ft Hood Units-the rest of them!
Moms: I have been in contact with 3 ladies from Ft Hood and they are going to be getting me the information on the Units that were involved in the November 5 attack.
I should have the first unit by Wednesday of next week, and will keep everyone posted. So far here is what I do have.
9 more Fallen these will be going to S.O.S at fort hood and she will send them on to the Families
11 wounded I will have a list next week and these will go to the FRSA (Family Readiness Support Administrator) and she will pass them out.
There are several more units from Ft Hood that are deployed and several that are leaving here really soon.
I am not sure all the numbers but as I get them I will let everyone know.
Lyn, when I get the names of the fallen can you make the pillowcases for them just like you did before? There is no rush on them.

Unit #1:
The first group at Ft Hood will be the 20th Engineer Battalion; I don't have all the numbers but should have them by Wednesday of next week. In this group there will be a need for care packages also. Sharron the FRSA told me she knows that there are several of them that get NO mail from home and need a little TLC. I asked her to get us a name and address and I will see what we can do to get some Navy Mom Love to them.
God opened this door for me yesterday and I went through it. We will be having a lot of contacts for Ft Hood so I prayed last night that God will give us what we need to get the job done. I am so proud that I am a part of this group. I will keep you posted on numbers as soon as I get them. ME

Hi ladies! Sorry I haven't been around much but this past week we went to Pensacola to visit our son so I am catching up tonight. I was just thinking that my closet that I keep all of my care package items in is overflowing and I need someone to send a care package or 3 to so that I can buy more stuff. LOL I also am building up my pcs stash and added 15 more to it today (thanks to a good friend) so I am ready to go whenever we get the contact information. Sue and Maryellen I hope that everything is going well for both of you health wise.

We had a great trip to Pensacola. We drove over Thursday evening so we were there when he got out of class Friday. We have been renting houses when we go visit instead of a hotel room and it is so nice to have plenty of room and a kitchen to cook for him. I always take several containers of homemade food that I have frozen for him to take back to base. He has been in Pensacola since August and we think it is great because we can drive over for the weekend but he is ready to move on to the next phase which will take him far away from Texas I'm sure since he wants to go to Whidbey Island since that is where his girlfriend got assigned to. I hope everything goes well with your surgery and you are up and running in no time.

we don't have them as yet. Maryellen is working with the command on getting the rest of the units. She is in surgery as I write, so it will be a few days before we know anymore.
