Well, my last post I was so excited my son was getting married and there was such great advise.  Well, we traveled to him and went through the marriage ceremony with a JP so his new wife would be on his orders. Planned on her joining him after he graduates from schooling.  Two weeks after the wedding ceremony, she sent him a text message telling him she no longer wants to be married and wants a divorce. Does the military offer legal council for sailors still in schooling?  Right now he is blown away by this and trying to concentrate on finishing up school, I want to make sure he can protect himself from any attack she's planning.  There have been communications from her and even though she's already moved in with another, she's looking for a way to put the blame on him.  Any information on where we can start, even if I have to hire a civilian lawyer, would be appreciated.

Navy legal does not handle civil divorces, but they can talk to him about his options. Hiring a lawyer who is familiar with the military is an excellent idea. He will need help to preserve his rights and paycheck.

I am so sorry to hear this happened. I know I tell fiances they have to be married sooner than later to be on the orders, and I do worry that some of them rush the marriages. It is a difficult situation and the decisions are hard. Best of luck to him.
If he goes to the base legal they will point him in the correct direction.
How awful for him (and you too). But better he finds out what she is now and gets it over with than invest any more time and effort into someone who obviously doesn't deserve him.
Thank you all. I'm having such a hard time trying to let him be a man when I know his heart is breaking. He used the words " this has destroyed me as a person". I know it's the pain talking, but it's a hard thing to hear when I know how much he's put into becoming the GREAT person he is. I will relay this advise to him and in the mean time look myself for a lawyer who has some military knowledge. Thanks again!
If she torn him down, now he can build himself up better than before.
That's horrible. However, after only two weeks of marriage, I would suggest he applies for an annulment instead of a divorce. If he is granted the annulment it is legally as if the marriage never existed (he would be single, not a divorcée) and she gets no benefits as an ex-wife.
