Since we will all be sitting in the same section of the bleachers at PIR, maybe it would be nice to have us all post something here in this section.  We could keep up with what the Division is doing by the letters others are receiving from this Division as well.

So happy to hear this!  It's been pretty quiet here, so I know she must be really busy.  She has written almost daily to this point.  She sail they are so busy and time is flying by now.  Very glad to hear that.  Isn't the final PFA any day?  I thought maybe it was yesterday.  I am praying our girls make it through.  I know they they are both struggling with the run. I have my fingers crossed!

Didn't the card make your day?  Letters make my day too, but the card was such an unexpected surprise.  She even sent my mother one which I thought was really sweet.  Bootcamp seems to have brought out the sweet side, for now at leaast.  Lol

Hope you are feeling better!!

Hey ladies,  I feel like I jumped ship on you all.....we had a family emergency a little over a week ago (one that we are not telling our daughter about because we don't want her to lose focus.) but none the less I haven't been much help on the whole ribbon thing.  I would be happy to print off several pages and cut them out if someone wants to send me the template.

Afterall we have a 9 hour car drive ahead of us and we can do some things in the car a long the way.  Just fill me in on what needs to be done and I (along with my other daugher who is coming with us) can work on these.

Hope you are feeling better Brandi's mom.  My husband had pneumonia a year ago and it was ugly stuff!  Take care of yourself.

Sent you a message via this website, let me know if you get it or not, thanks for your offer to help, at this point, I am in need of all the help and well wishes I can get.

Exciting news~Final PFA IS TODAY!!!!  Probably already done by now, but it was today.  Just got a letter and Battlestations days are correct,  Also, the pic on FB of the group in firefighting is 174.  Everyone check for your SR>  It's prob 173 too.  She confirmed they were in training and someone came in and took pics.  I didn't see mine, but maybe you can spot yours.  I hope they all did well today!!!!!!!!!!!
I checked out the picture and I kind of see one that kind of looks like my daughter, but can't be positive, so I will download and print it out and take it with me to Great Lakes and ask her, either way, I know she will want a copy of it for the Navy photo album I am starting for her.  Thanks for giving us the heads up on the photo on FB.

Hubby confirmed it, our daughter is in the picture.  I thought it was her, but also thinking to myself, that I was just seeing her, because of wishful thinking.  But lo and behold it was her....Even though can't see a full face of her, just seeing that little bit was enough to make me feel so much better.

Can't wait to hear if they all have passed their PFA and then battlestations, I have my blue candle waiting for the 12th and 13th...

Guess word has gotten to our SR's that we plan on meeting at the Meet and Greet and she's quite pleased. How are the ribbons coming along? Do you need assistance with them? Let us know :)

There has to be a way we can figure out who we all are when we get there. Are the tables sorted or are we on our own to find each other?! Maybe whoever gets there first can put a big 174 on there so we know where to go!!

I am so happy she heard.  I know it makes my dtr feel good to know we all chat.  In some wierd way it connects us all.  Probably in the same way it brings us comfort to know they have each other.

Are you volunteering to hold the sign???? Lol  JK  I love the idea~!

I can make a table sign or something for us with our number to bring to  the Meet and Greet. I think we are going to stay at the Navy Inn to make it easier for Brit since, as we last heard, she goes to A school EARLY Saturday morning (like, 4am or something ?!) and we want to spend as much time as we are allowed to with her. When it gets closer we can swap cell phone numbers or something to make it even easier!
That sounds good. We also need to take a group picture.

Happy Mother's Day to you all!  This day is so meaningful especially this year.  All of our children are together today and working so hard to make a great future for themselves.  We did a good job and today is a day to celebrate that.  It is bittersweet bc we all miss them so!  They have made us prou oud and I hope you all enjoy this day!!

I am looking forward to meeting you all at the Meet n greet!  We've gone through this journey together and it will be great to finally put a face to a screenname.  Lol  We do have to do something to find 174.

brandismom-I am so happy you spotted your daughter.  I didn't see mine, but it comforted me to see the pic and know she was in there somewhere.

Happy Mothers Day to all as well, and Tricsious you could not have said it better.  Looking forward to meeting everyone.

I have 100 of the PIR ribbons cut out, just have to attach the backing to each one, but husband promised to do that.

I am not sure if I ever told you guys or not, but 10 years ago, (almost 10 years ago), on July 1, 2001 my husband went through bootcamp, at that tiime daughter was just a little girl, but she wanted to dress up like her daddy so we got her one of those kids navy outfits and we have a picture of him in his uniform and she is in a kids Navy outfit, right after his PIR.  Now this May we get to take the same picture of both of them again, but this time, they will both be in their dress whites, he is going to be at her PIR in uniform as well.  Attached below is a picture of them 10 years ago.
