Since we will all be sitting in the same section of the bleachers at PIR, maybe it would be nice to have us all post something here in this section.  We could keep up with what the Division is doing by the letters others are receiving from this Division as well.

Wow how awesome!!!! How cute that she grew up to be like dad :) Guess she really liked that uniform!!
How sweet is that!  What a great side by side picture that will be in a frame!

Good morning everyone!

I am dying to know how they did on their final PFA.  If anyone hears anything please share.  I know she was extemely nervous about the run time.  I am just praying it all went well!

Ladies~the gate passes are available for printing!  Just printed mine!  Yay!  (I feel like such a little girl again)
Just got ours as well. Printed 2 "just in case", since I'm apt to lose things.
I did the same thing! Lol  I tend to lose things when I am overly anxious-which in this case it true!

Received a letter from my daughter today saying they "failed their inspection again, because 31 males failed" and they didn't earn a flag...again. She confirmed BS is 12-13th.

She said she heard we are lighting blue candles for them (N4M). I burn mine every day...not all day long because I bought a scented one from Yankee Candle and there's only so much of that I can take lol

Whoever their inside source is...can you make sure you tell them that we wish them ALL good luck in BS? We are all pulling for them. They can do it!!

My daughter is very specific on to what type of food she wants to have in the brief time she will have before A school, so off to print out the directions to the place I found! (dim sum, Italian and pizza are on her list)

You didn't happen to hear if they all passed their PFA did you?  My daughter as well is specific on the one item she said she really, really wants and she put it in all capital letters and underlined it about 5 times, she wants a good steak.  Steakhouses should not be too hard to find.

I can't hardly believe BattleStations  is at the end of this week... I will be taking a couple of changes of clothes for my daughter for her to relax in around the hotel room, she specifically asked for her pajama bottoms that all girls like to wear around the house.  But since her A school is at Great Lakes, I am also taking her two jeans, two tops a hoodie and some other things, just so when she does get to Phase 2 in A school she can have some civilian clothes of hers to wear.

The last letter I got from her said they earned their Independence Flag which means they don't have to have an RDC marching with them all the time.

Yeah, in her last letter she stated all the "new" ppl to 174 were commended on helping 174 march correctly, since they had much more experience in it. I'm glad the new additions were able to assist and help earn their flag.

I didn't hear about PFA as she wrote it the day before, but she seemed psyched about it. She went from 2 mins over, to 2 minutes under...for a total of 4 minutes off her run, so she is sure she will pass this time. Plus...she doesn't have the flu this go around!

As for the steak...look up reviews on Yelp. There is also an app on the smart phone (not sure if iPhone has it or not) called Chicagoway. I clicked view by cuisine, steakhouses and it came up with quite a few of them, with reviews and everything. There is also another one that helps with the subways, etc., but I think I must have deleted that one at one point. I was delighted to see a ton of Dunkin Donuts listed on there for my coffee fix!

Received a letter from my daughter today and it was written on the 3rd and then again on the 4th of May, and I will break down what she told me they were doing;  on the 3rd, they did firefighting class and watched a video about the USS Cole.  Tomorrow she said on the 4th they do more firefighting and the "gas chamber".  Alot of the girls have ordered a divisional shirt or hoodie cause she said their flag is "AWESOME".  She did mention that the gas chamber had to be the worst thing ever.

Their Chief had them do a mock PFA and she said she did very well on it, and hopes she does just as good or better on the real one.

And she did mention that everyone is finally getting along and coming together as a division.

Daughter sent me a Mothers Day card / birthday card which I loved. My daughter is not doing well ever since they took wisdom teeth. She is numb on right side of mouth, very much in pain, and is receiving  shots 2 to 3 times a day in her mouth ( 3 shots per visit). She was sent for a cat scan and they called in people from Bethesda to take over her case. They found that her nerve ending is damaged and there might be a tiny piece of tooth still stuck. There is an 80% chance that she will need surgery gum/jaw. Please keep her in your prayers.

Ouch! Hope for a quick(er) recovery. Will this hold her up from BS and graduation, or are they going to wait until she graduates?
