My nephew is in this group of marines (stands for Combat Logistics Battalion) and they will be deployed soon.

The total number needed 700:  36 females, 664 males.

We will be mailing in waves to the different companies.  Once I get the breakdown of numbersby company, we will decide on the mailing dates.   At this point in time, it looks like we will start in late August with a very small possibility of a late July mailing.

Watch for further details.  And ladies, "start your machines".

Ok This is the suggested ship schedule.  Let me know what you think, how many you can help with.  Thanks!!

A company 152 male- 6 female  ship date 8-10 thru 8-13

B company 154 male-  5 female    ship date 8-31 thru 9-3

ENGR Co 134 male-  8 female   ship date 9-21 thru 9-24

HQ 239  male-  19 female  ship date 10-5 thru 10-8

m's mom I picked up some more pillowcases today so I will have 27 that I can mail on the 30th.

That is great!!  Thank you so much!!
It is neat to see pictures of the pc's others have made.  I can sometimes spot material I have and get ideas of what I can do!!

I've got lots of female pc's on hand. Can you let me know if I can send some of those to future companies?

You can give me the count of how many you want me to ship when you e-mail me the next shipping address.

Thanks,

Birdie

Birdie-do you want to do the 5 for Company B?  I know its not many but...  We are trying to ship Company B between Aug 31 and Sept 3.  Do you have any others you could send with the female?

The shipping address is the same for all shipments.  The Chaplain is dealing with the whole Division-God Bless the man!!  We have decided that we should put a note in the boxes saying how many pc's are in them and which company they are for.

Speaking of the Chaplain-I have been searching for some fabric that would work for a special pc for the Chaplain. All I can find is fat quarters that are 22" by 18" -not really big enough.  Anyone have a source?

Thanks for your help!

Joy

I have several pieces that would work great for the chaplain.  do you want me to make it?  what did you have in mind?  I meant to tell you this before, but I get sidetracked.

Birdie, you do the 5 for B company.  Plus 20, for 25.  does that work?

Terry is doing 30 for B company and so is Diane, Birdie's friend.

thanks Cathy for the extra pcs.

Sue,

I had found a great piece with all different style crosses on it.  But like I said it was only a fat quarter.  I guess I could piece one side and make the other side plain.  I am still getting into thinking that way!!  Thought it would be cool to send him some thing like that as a special Thank You.  Do you mind putting it together?  That would be great.

Sorry for the delayed response. I haven't been here in a while.

Yes, I'll do 25, 5 of them female.

I can ship 25 total to B company. I'll plan on sending 5 female pc's in that shipment.

I've found a few different religious fabric prints on e-bay.

Thanks for your help, Birdie.

Joy

I finally got my photos downloaded!  66 sent to A company

It has been a while since i have been here. I have 4 female and 14 others to mail... where to and when? Sorry for my ignorance but sometimes i have troubles navigating this site.
