Looking forward to getting to know those who are in my son's division.  He is 19 and will be a NUKE.  I am so proud of him.

So sorry for your stress.

Sorry to hear about this Victoria....You are in my thoughts and prayers at this time...

Keeping you in prayer!

Praying for your strength through this difficult time.  Hope good news comes your way soon!

We got two letters from Alex today!! He says he's doing well ... don't know that it's too much fun but the best line was "Things here are tough but nothing I can't handle." Love it, love it, love it! I hope everyone else hears something today!

BTW, I told a new group I'm working with that my son was at Navy basic training and they all said thank you to both him and us for his willingness to serve our country. So I'm passing that on to all of you and your kids, as well.

Awesome!!  Thanks for passing a bit of his letter on to us :-)  We'll all run to the mailbox when we get home!

We got 2 letters today too...He sounds great...still has his humor, giving me a hard time about how through the Navy he has learned to iron (I am a big fan of Downy wrinkle release haha). But the best thing was he got his first letter from me on his Birthday, and said it was his best birthday present, ever....

He also said something about things being a little tough but nothing that he could not handle..

I feel much better

No letter here but tomorrow I am off, so I will be standing at the mailbox when the mailman gets here.  I'm hopeful.  My son has never seen me iron.  I am now in love with the Mr Steamy.  It works wonderfully.  I also cant imagine him making his bed perfectly. ( I plan on asking for a demonstration when I can.)

No letters for me today. Hopefully tomorrow. I will also be camped out by the mailbox.

no letters for me either

Praying you get your letter tomorrow...I live in Illinois, so mine doesnt have quite as far to travel as some...my boy told my husband that it was the shittiest Christmas ever (but not to tell mom..haha)...of course we are all sharing  each other's letters...Logan said the only people that even said Merry Christmas was the civilians in the chow hall...poor kid :(...but if he made it through Christmas, I am sure he will do fine the rest of the time...my boy was also down SIQ for 4 days with cellulitis, bet that made the time DRAG...He seems to be doing fairly well, says there are times that are rough, but they keep him busy and he has a FIG family there to help him through the rough times...he told us they should get a one hour phone call in the next 2 weeks? I mailed him another phone card today and a couple of pics...he just said no nudies or provacative...lol...like mom would send those...although he did add to pass that on to his uncle and grandpa!!! He said they get a little time each night to write, but only get to mail on sundays

Fingers crossed for you!! I'll be anxious to hear!
