Happy Wednesday Moms.... and in our house it is the best day because usually it is the day we get letters from boot camp. And today was no different. My daughter and I both received letters as did a friend of my son's from high school. He continues to sound up beat and starting to request things for me to bring down for graduation weekend.

Anyone else receive letters????

I got a letter Saturday and a phone call today.  He had his wisdom teeth out Friday and has a slight sinus thing going but he sounded really up beat and happy!  He only had 8 minutes to talk but it was really great to hear his voice.  I should have another letter tomorrow he said he wrote another one.  Hope everyone else gets a call or letter.

That is great on the phone call. Sorry to hear about the sinus thing. And not surprised about the wisdom teeth. I am waiting to hear about my SR and his wisdom teeth. He always had good teeth but so did his twin but once he got to boot camp still managed to have 3 of them removed. So we will see.

Still waiting on a call.. Sorta thought I would have had one by now. My cell phone is glued to my hip.. just in case.. hahah

I keep my cell on me too!  Hope you get your call soon It was really great to hear his voice.  I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Glad to hear that you too are recieving letters. My son is in ship 12 div212 and also has recieved all the forwarding mail from us also. we have recieved 3 letters from him and his sister also has recieved a couple letters from him. He said  in his last letter that he starts his day at 0430 not 0600 and that he has 10 mins to make his bed approx 5 mins hygiene and then breakfast which he said food was good.  I also got a phone call last week and he sounded good. He mentioned that several people have left. think he said the count was up to 33 maybe? something like that.  Sounds like the coming weeks should be better per outline for weeks to come. I think weapons was the focus for last week. Please let me know any up dates you hear from ship 12 div 212. I always enjoy knowing whats happening there. Thanks!

My SR had mentioned the same about so many leaving. He also mentioned with new people coming in a lot of the division was getting sick. You have more details. My SR that is there isn't much into details, his twin is the one who gave me lots of details when he was in bootcamp.

I never got the scheduled phone call. He tried to call his twin. I did however get 2 surprise ones when he was collecting information for his security clearance so I guess I should be happy. The letters are good, and I am just getting so excited about graduation. Hoping his twin brother from Pensacola can get command approval to be in Chicago for graduation.. So we will see..

Sorry been awhile since I was here! My Sailor is still in Great Lakes for school., he leaves for California July 15th, his 19th Birthday! My SR is now home, they found a problem with his heart, not too serious, and his Grandmother passed away so the let him come home early. My first we got to spend the entire week end with and have visited him twice since Grad!

Well Moms, I am hoping some of you received calls last night. My SR who is on SHIP 12- DIV 212 got to make a phone call around 6pm Chicago time. Sadly to report he didn't call me ( this was extremely upsetting ) he tried and ended up missing his identical twin who is in Pensacola, FL for " A " and was in the dinner line. He left a voicemail saying he only had 8 minutes and to tell MOM he was sorry for not calling.. Ouch this hurt..

NO other details. Did anyone else recieve a call??? Please share some good news. I know I could use some. And I guess if we don't have the phone calls to share can look forward to the facts that it is Tuesday and letters should be coming today or tomorrow. Plus our countdown to graduation continues....

Big Navy Mom Hugs to all.. I know I needed lots of em last night....

My SR tried calling TWICE last Wednesday while I was at work- I missed both calls. =(  He hasn't called since but maybe if your SR got to make a call last night, another call from my SR isn't too far off... my phone is glued to my hip just in case!

Division 212 got to go to "Recruit Heaven" today! They got to play arcade games, eat junk food, and make phone calls! Talked to my SR for 24 minutes! Anyone else get phone calls tonight?

I received a 45 minute call last night with my SR.  It was awesome. I was even able to get his identical twin who is in Pensacola on the phone for a 3 way call. My SR sounded super. Spirits were good. Getting very excited for PIR and to see us all.

Totally made my night....

I talked to my SR for about 20 minutes too!  He was eating chips and drinking soda.  He sounded so good.
