Here are my 20!  My first shipment, I'm so excited!!

This was posted on their Facebook Page Today 9-27-13

Fitzgerald Family and Friends,

It was our pleasure today to distribute hand made pillow cases to every Sailor onboard. Heads at Ease an organization of military supporters took time to ensure that while our Sailors serve overseas they know they are appreciated at home.

I'm so glad to be a part of this group!!!

We Are glad you are here too MrsB, these pictures lets all know just how important we are to the moral of our Great Military. Thank You for Everyone who gives of their time and efforts to make this group grow.

What a fun photo Maryellen!  thanks for posting that!  It's good to see the sailors with pcs in hand!

maybe this young man is in the photo.

Mam,

On behalf of myself and the crew of USS Fitzgerald DDG 62 I would like to say thank you for your thoughtful gift and your feelings.

I got this today, what a great way to start the day.

Maryellen Peller,

Good morning. My name is Yxxx Kxxxx. I am an ensign on the USS Fitzgerald stationed in Yokosuka, Japan. I wanted to thank you for making pillowcases for us. It was actually perfect because that day we had moved to the barge and it was nice having colorful pillowcases to brighten up our rooms. Again thank you so much and take care.

Thank you,
Yxxx Kxxxx

Here are the pictures of my 25.

they look great Lyn.  Thank you!  Even more special since seeing the news clip last night!

got this today from the wife of one of POC for 3 small Army units we mailed to in Oct:

Hello there,
I wanted to email you because my husband's internet isn't good enough to send out an email apparently. He has tried a few times but it isn't working. He asked me to email you instead. They got the pillow cases today at Wright. What an awesome Veteran's Day gift!!! He absolutely loved his case and so did the rest of the soldiers!! They were immediately snatched. Thank you so much for giving our soldiers a smile on their face today!
He was able to send me some pictures through Facebook and I've attached them!

Again thank you so much! If there is ever anything I can help with, please let me know!

These 3 units came up really fast and I asked Patty what her hubby liked.  She said SF 49ers.  I asked Dana if she had

any fabric like that.  She didn't, but went to the store, bought some and made the pc the next day!  I was impressed.  And then she mailed 28 out on Monday!  Here are the photos of her pc, and 2 from the unit.

This year we sent 166 pc's to the Operation Ward 57 project out of Walter Reed. All of them were made by Paymaster and her sewing friends.
Luke Sliwinsky is a Junior Marine and works closely with the wounded vets going through rehab. He and his mom provide these pc's to the patients and sometimes their family members, as they deal with the trauma of their injuries. He said that it really makes a world of difference for them to get the pc's.
