Dear Connie,
My name is HM3 Cxxxx and I’m serving on the USS Vella Gulf.
I am writing to extend my deepest gratitude for the pillow cases both you and the rest of the crew sent to my ship.
I am speaking not only for myself, but on behalf of my Senior chief who didn’t have a case for his pillow lol, and my co-sailor HM3 Hxxxx..
In life the smallest acts of kindness go a long way, but you all have chosen to go way above and beyond in support of people you have never met to bring a bit of home away from home to our lives and for that I will forever be grateful to you all.
Please rest assure, that though we are away from our loved ones, we are happily, and effortlessly continuing to defend the freedom of great men and women like yourselves, who take time out of your lives to care for others.
This may be a bit too soon, but I wish you, and your crew and wonderful 4th of July.
All the best from a friend.

We have a new ship for next week. If you have some pcs ready to go, let me know. We need 400. Mailing is July 1 thru July 3. Thanks.
Good this thank you note this morning.:
Ginnie,
I happened to pick your pillow case and I just wanted to personally thank you. Your organization really boosted our morale on the ship and gave us strength to be out here. Again, I just wanted to thank you guys.

What really strikes me about this note is the ship had asked for white pcs and I said no. We make bright and colorful, did they want those? Yes they said. And the proof that "mama knows best" is above. Thanks to you all who continually support HAE to bring that comfort from home. Sue
Ginnie's pcs
this is the new ship we are mailing to next week. I have all the pcs that I need at this time. And sending some cards or drawings from kids is a good idea.
Ladies, Anyone shipping to the Philippine Sea, please please please put some cards or letter of encouragement in with your pillowcases. They are at the half way point on their deployment and could use a little extra love and support. The LT from the MRW that we are working with said that this has been a long and rough time for them. So if you can please lets send them some extra love in their boxes.
Thanks

from the USS Vella Gulf:
Good Morning Sue,
Thank you so much, again for our beautiful pillow cases! Our sailors
are thrilled with their pillow cases and report already that they're
sleeping better. Wow, 45,233 pillow cases! This is quite the gift that
you are giving to our troops. Thank you again,
Regards,
Chaplain Brandon Hood, LT, USN
